VN - Ren'Py - Projekt: Passion [v0.14] [Classy Lemon]

Played Classy Lemon's first game, and greatly enjoyed the art direction and its animations. The story was pretty good too.

This game seems to improve on those foundations greatly, excited to follow along this game's journey!

It's impossible not to give this 5 stars. It has basically everything that you'd want in a visual novel and the execution is amazing.

Good story and world lore, excellent comedy, unique characters, great renders, insane animations, sound effects to enhance the conversations and sex scenes and the coolest thing: VOICED CINEMATICS! Yes, you heard me right, they are few but add so much to the experience. Where can you find that in this site? Go support this because it's a gem.

This is a fun game that makes me go "yay!" whenever I see a new update. Plus, one of the few visual novels I don't regret unmuting the audio for. Which I normally do because I don't want my landlady to hear me playing porn.

So far so goooood. Comedy is very organic and Space Ninja is hot af but seen very little of her. What a tease though.

I think the relationship and dialogue between the mains can be a bit more meaningful but overall the main plot is engaging enough for the current length of the game.

Also hope to see a smoother melding of comedy and hot scenes as right now the writing is funny enough that it makes transitioning into sex scenes a bit choppy.

Version played: v0.1

Passion is indeed the word to describe this game. For just the first version, you have a custom render intro with a bit of voice over and some sexy and accurate sfx as well. The renders are clear and the story's humor is on point (dev keep it up). The characters are also all good looking and filled with an air of mystery around them.

Will check this out again in the future and bump it to 5 stars once more story updates rolls in to see how it turns out.

Been playing for about 10 minutes, but I have to admit that this game is so damn good. Like, really, the humor, the characters, the art style and the city... I never play games with version 0.1, or first parts, chapters, build, or whatever. But this game screenshots, plot and the trailer persuaded me to give it a go and again, for just a first version this is among my most favourite games. Good job Classy Lemon, even though my words might mean nothing, I just wanted to write this review for you and others to read it and try this game, beacause it is well worth it and deserves more attention and at this point I think it is pointless to say it is looking very promising, cause it is obvious. And humor/comedy is good .

The game is off to a strong start. Story feels like it's heading in a naughty guardians of the galaxy direction which should be fun. There should be a good mix of different characters and adventures.

The things that stand out most about this game are the animations and the character dialog. The animations are super smooth and realistic. There is a lot of attention to minor movements of body parts that make it look more natural than 95% of other games.

As for the dialog, once again I would point to the witty one liners of guardians of the galaxy where the crew playfully banters between both friendly and enemy characters. It creates strong connection between the characters and allows for some fun interactions. It's interesting how even the characters seen as 'bad guys' are still likeable and interesting. This should allow the story to some 'bad' characters have a change of heart.

Do you know how hard it is to make someone whose 1st language isn't English to laugh? It's decently hard, but this game had me laughing from beginning to end. (Or from beginning until the last comedic moment)
I rarely rate, but this game deserves it. It has one of the best and funniest intros I've played and I personally think the comedy is truly on point.
I really hope this game gets more attention cause dev truly deserves it.

I generally try not to rate first releases, but it's been a long time since I've been so entertained by one.

I found the writing and the humor to be awesome, just for that I'd give it 5 stars. That's not to say that the rest of the VN wasn't a hit also. The renders and animations were great, the characters were all likeable.

This has leaped to the top of my to watch list. I can't wait for future updates. All I can say is, please don't tone down the humor dev.

Visuals - Amazing

absolutely amazing, i was blown away by the visuals, story and the whole project as a whole.. comedy is perfectly done and i was literally rofl when Sandra blew my head off for the 1st game over screen lol.. I cant wait to see where this title goes.. i did try Inferno previously but i'll be honest and say i couldn't get into it.. THIS however genre wise is defo in my interest bracket and will gladly be leaving a 5* review due to its amazing debut..

Well, I expected something with beautiful renders, catchy story, nice voice acting and builded up immersion, given that all these elements were present in the previous game of this dev, "After the Inferno".
Were my expections fullfilled?
Definitely

Renders - characters are done with a vision behind them, and since this is a visual novel, it would be hard to overlook if this key component was done poorly, but Classic Lemon once again delivers the highest quality in terms of interesing and luring renders.
Writing - there's only 0.1 version when I'm writing this, so I can judge just a begining of the story, but so far it's on the top level. Linguisticly correct, a lot of humor (I think there's more than in previous game), logic is kept and history itself is fast paced in amusing.
Characters are clearly fleshed - we immediately know who we can expect to take a role of BF, villan, an OP character etc, but obviously it can also led to a twist later on. Also what's even more important, all characters were so far likeable - either because they're funny, cute, mysterious, or villainy.
And of course there are also extra features - animations with voice acting and music which add a lot to immersion of the game, as well as achievements with funny extra renders.

TL;DR - I wholeheartly reccomend, fun time playing!

I'll be covering the graphics, story and characters in the three main sections of the review.

Some comments:
Probably one of the best first releases on this site ever.

Graphics:
Renders: 8-9/10. The renders in general are great. The world was showcased really well. The only reason I removed some points was because I felt there could be more improvement in the ships scene overall.

Animations: 10/10. The intro cut-scene, the sex animations and the 2nd cut-scene. Pretty much as good as it gets on the site.

Character models: 10/10. Models look unique and cute! All the girls shown look really cute/sexy depending on the situation. What more does one want.

Story:
Plot: 9/10. The plot at the start seems like a generic save the world from an evil empire(A company here) which spans the galaxy. Why the high rating then? Because there are hints that it is not as simple as it seems. Different perspectives offer different views on how evil this corporation is (Aria suggests they might even be the good guys). We might be in for a surprise later on (Or not).

Pacing: 10/10. The start was perfectly paced. We get to know the characters, the motivations, the world. It really was as good as a first release can get.

Characters:
Main character: 10/10. MC is not a moron, not a horny pervert, not a simp. There are places where he's dumbed down but it's for comedic effect (It's not the shit college humor dumbing down) and I can't say I dislike it. The pizza scene was really funny.

Girls/Potential LIs: 10/10. Different types of personalities, completely different looks and overall just a mature way of handling characters.

Edit: The voice over is actually pretty great too.

Overall: Download it ASAP people. 10/10.

Gameplay: The usual renpy choice chooser.

Writing: Really funny, with a good plot.

Art: Good model variation, with animated scenes.

Audio: Occasional voiced cutscenes, with background music and effects.

This is a bloody riot! And I love it, the comedy is just spot on. I am looking forward to how the author will blend a more serious story (which appears to be building up behind the scenes) with the out of the window comedy.

The animations and the character models are good enough to keep me coming back for more. Seriously, The scene where him and his team break into a facility is out of this world

Simply a masterpiece!

I was already hooked up with After the Inferno, when I saw that the dev had already begun a new project I downloaded it without a second thought...

Lo and behold, the quality of his new game it's even better, the animations that he likes to insert are the most smooth that I saw in a VN, it isn't slow or clunky, it feels completely natural as a cutscene from games we usually play on steam/epic, etc.

Storywise pretty good too, some people may not like the comedian aspect of the game, I myself don't usually like to read stories with comedy, but this one feels the right amount for me, good plot and even being just the release, we can see that the development is going in a good pace.

The characters are pretty "unique", if you played After the Inferno you're already used to the dev character's model, truly amazing, don't even need to mention the good-looking and unique MC that has good contrast with the usual MC's assets we are used to seeing around here.

Great humor, laughed out loud several times. Animations and cutscenes are incredible as expected from this dev.
Characters seem great from the little we've seen on them.

It's still very early so rating might change but if this quality stays up then its definitely worth 5 stars
