Only 0.8% of the users here come from France* (around 60 000). From those 0.8% how many of them are active (assuming a total of 100 000 active users - means the also write posts - this leaves 800)?
And how many of them have valid knowledge for this topic?
And how many will give that to you for free?
Until the last line I thought that he was a lucky guy...
Then came the said last line and now I question myself because Christmas is coming you know
More seriously, in France there isn't really laws regarding lewd and pornographic content. There's what is illegal, mostly underage, bestiality and apology of none consensual sex, and the rest isn't really controlled. We care more about preventing people to involuntarily access lewd and pornographic content, and even voluntarily if they are minor, than about the content itself.
It's probably the reason why OP have a hard time to find information. If you ask google about the topic, you'll get tons of links talking about access restriction, and near to nothing regarding the legality of the content itself.
To give an idea regarding how little French people care about this, the

is relatively explicit by its emptiness.
This being said, I have no fucking clue if we make a difference between real people, realistic representation and drawing. At least when it come to porn itself. Because when it's just lewd content, I know that comics including nudity are sold with those who don't; unlike magazines like Playboy, who are sold apart from other magazines.
So, my advice is if you like to have good and valid advice on those topic, ask a legal counsellor that works in this field of topic.
I fully second this. Not just for the legality of the content, but also because we are a fucked up country when it come to taxes. To the question, "is what I want to do legal", the answer will surely be "yes" (even if there's incest), but then will come the "what legal status should I have and how many taxes will I pay" that will need an hour to be answered to.
Also it is not only the law of France you need to consider, [...]
Knowing how bad we are with English, I guess that OP wanted to ask about "publishing
from France", but obviously you're right, what will limit him is the rest of the world.
