custom skin additions are pretty huge actually, solves the issue of the MCs absolutely abhorrent hairstyle
this doesnt excuse the fact the game still lacks any semblance of progress ever since the last version i played (iirc it was 0.9 or 0.7)

I thought the custom skins were a character customizer but after taking a look i think its only referring to the clothing upgrades being slightly different visually

You should look into their first abandoned game...Malice and the Machine, you can find it here on F95. Showed promise too way back when, now it'll never get finished.

As for the $20k a month, sounds like they lost some money moving from Patreon to SubStar...and the only reason we finally got the Charger animation was to drum up some more interest and get folks to sign up with SubStar.

Yeah, many have (and I have in the past) pointed out how Eromancer will do the bare minimum required to keep this cash cow farting dollars for him...sad really, if he put for the effort and tried to complete his game. Well, he'd probably have a 5-star game that he could sell on Steam and it might even surpass Karryn's Prison. But nope...so here we are.

Ah well, see ya in a few more pages probably.

Damn, that's a bad record then. at that rate this will never be finished... the style looks great, you know, for a porn game and the animations are smooth. Gameplay is reduntant and clunky but most beat em' ups are so i guess it's okay. I guess that if i join the monthly subscribestar page i will get august version but i assuming that release isn't different than the July one correct? (maybe a couple extra things and that's it)

This is the exact same for Helius and his Fallen Doll / Lovecraft game/project series. It is sad and infuriating at the same time.

Sometimes I wonder if these (and many more) are modern equivalents or a new type of money laundering. Bot patreon/subscribe accounts that use fake information and retail pre paid credit cards to go from cash/shade to "legitimate business". Give it the appearance of actual "game development" as a front and honestly who would notice or be the wiser?

If you simply look at what one regular average developer/artist can accomplish in a week while working 40-50 hours a week and compare that to the actual output of some of these games developer then it really makes you wonder what they are actually doing. There are people on youtube that make an entire high res poly character from drawing to full render in one 4 hour livestream. And yet, in the case of Fallen Doll, the supporters have to wait 3 to 4 months for one character to drop, the scamming is insane.

In regards to Onyx, the concept and base is great, I hope it becomes something awesome but from experience many know better.
