I played some odd puzzle game where the main character was trapped in a home by his sister or girlfriend and it was monochrome, the game was very laggy and you had to hide and avoid being spotted frequently with i think textboxes that acted in real time. There were puzzles to be solved in the home and I recall one with a TV remote that had colored buttons on it and maybe some notes with numbers around.
