QSPgui issue with Linux

I'm using Linux and wanted to play a QSP Game, downloaded the gspgui.deb from the gspfoundation but the gui doesn't appear in the 'open with' menu so I can't start it up,

I know Linux users who also play QSP are rare but maybe someone here has an idea on what do do.
I downloaded the 5.9.2 b2 version but installed it via terminal, so the usual sudo dpkg -i .deb usually it works, but now it didn't

from what you said im assuming the install didnt fail on you
you just need to associate /bin/qspgui with the .qsp file extension
or search your programs for qsp classic, then choose the game through the program instead

its probably a little different depending on your DE, with cinnamon for example you can "open with" on the .qsp file and add /bin/qspgui as the custom executable >add to list > set as default then you can just click the game file in the future to run it
