VN - Ren'Py - Quarantine Libido [v0.04] [Athycus]

This game really surprised me in a good way. The girls actually look different from the same copy-paste models you see in a lot of other AVNs, and that alone makes it stand out. The art and animations are solid, and even when some expressions look a little off, it never ruins the vibe. Personally, I’ve got a soft spot for goth girls, so seeing that style show up in here was a big win for me.


The humor is great too, and I actually like that the MC isn’t some shredded pornstar lookalike. He’s a bit sloppy and goofy, but it makes the story feel more grounded and honestly kind of fresh. The writing doesn’t shy away from the “porn logic,” but that’s part of the fun and it works here.


Yeah, the content is still short, and I’m already itching for more, but what’s there is polished and fun. The UI is smooth, the music fits, and it feels like the devs actually care about what they’re making. With more updates this could become one of my favorites. For me, it’s an easy 5 stars.

The unique model of women, the attention to detail and expressions, the writing and dialogues, compared to other products on the site deserve 4 if not 5 stars. But...
- The point-and-click/sandbox style without any rewards for the player is a waste of time, especially for developers in terms of production and story development.
- A year and a half, four updates, and all we get is character introductions and a few unfinished handjobs?
- A sleazy, unattractive loser MC with a big, magical dick that instantly turns a bunch of sexually frustrated women into shameless sluts. The best, original and attractive porn logic ever!
- Considering some of the female characters presented and the type of MC, it's possible that the tag "female domination" will appear soon. Some people might like that.

So, taking into account the real qualities, listed by other players as well, for me it's only a 3-star game.

Right now after playing the 0.04 version of QL I can say I've been left wanting for more in the best possible way. The renders for the majority of the game look very decent but some of them like the introduction of Ruby seem a bit off but nothing that takes away from the experience. the models used for the girls look great for the tone the game's setting but some face expressions come off as odd. The use of music is competent but nothing that stands out as it is serviceable to the overall feeling of the experience. The writing has no qualms about what it wants to do and thrives on it so as long as you don't have problems with pure porn logic then this game is a great choice. Right now the content is short but in time this game could be a enjoyable experience for anyone.

Review of v0.03:

This is a promising game that deserves more attention. I like it for several reasons:
- the story
- the omnipresent humour
- the atypical main character (he differs greatly from protagonists in other visual novels);
- the models used for the female characters look very different from those in most other 3D games.

The only thing I don't like is the futa content. I hope that it won't be forced upon us in future updates.

I would also like to see more content in the future.

This project sticks out like a sore thumb, but not in a bad way, but a very good way. Quarantine Libido brings to the table a variety of things, from humor, sexy characters, and a story with an actual plot. I like stories that have a different appeal versus the standard ones catering to Westernized glitz and glamour. The setting is different, the MC's look is different, and there's a bona fide antagonist in Nassim Delgado.

That and the fact that the Devs clearly know what they are doing in terms of presentation and storytelling. Mix that with the right kind of humor and sexiness, and this just screams potential. I also like the fact that the MC seems to know what's right from wrong and isn't a total contrarian but knows when to cut in. My only hope is that this team stays together and fans get used to seeing this project on a regular basis. The art looks to revolve around Blender, which makes for beautiful content but usually cranks out a lot slower than Daz. Nonetheless, I can see myself supporting this project as the Devs, from my few interactions, seem like pretty cool people.

Excellent start! The game has a strong pornographic logic, something very fantasy-like, but fun and very well executed. The highlight of the game for me is having black women and other types of women phenotypically and aesthetically and even gender-specific, not to mention the animations which were some of the best I've seen, and a well-organized and intuitive interface. It's just starting out, I'm even thinking about financing it when there's a little more content.

Short in term of content, but a well designed game with a clear and polished UI.
The MC is not the usual, he's a chubby boy but in a great way, something different and fresh.
A good portion of humor and a big sexual part. Many different girls with different styles.
Waiting to see if it take fly and where it goes.

Very interest, goofy, and nice looking game that I'm sad i found out about so early because now I have to be part of the fans waiting for updates.

Pros:
Makes my heart happy to see another game (of which there arent many) where the mc is a black guy

The mc while a horndog, converses well and most of his dialogue isn't him talking or thinking about fucking something

the women all look pretty damn good

the UI is nice

the conversations arent just gibberish with nice interactions

I'm in love with his sister and cant wait to see more of her. Hoping the mc and her end up messing around since i love incest and am continually sad at the lack of black incest.

I am sincerely hoping that the mc will eventually end up dragged to the gym with Duna or his sister and drop some of that weight. That or some magical stuff happens. At this point I don't care how, I just hope he's sized down eventually.

while im happy to have a black protag, of course its a bit sad that he is a chubby guy

Making it worse, he's a slob and a bit nasty. Thankfully its not as bad as it could be.

while the women look great and even most of the men look okay, the mc's model doesnt look all that great in comparison to the point that he doesnt look like he belongs in the same game as the rest .

It hurts a bit atm to see that another of the 2 games i know of that have black mc's, has pretty much no black women in it. I get it, variety is the flavor of life but after seeing black women put in every game that has pale mc 69305, its a tad sad that there is just one black woman here. I admit i'm happy that she is here and even happier that she's his sister.

Overall this is a promising start to something that may not be earth shattering but for me is something great just because this is a black mc led game that isn't a shitpost or some idiotic ntr bullshit.

Pretty short in terms of content but actually quite good so far! Like the models, what content is there right now, humor, and story. The MC is got a little chunk to him but that's honestly cool to see since it's pretty unique to see. Pretty solid, can't wait to see what's in store for this game

Wau funny dialogs, exeptional art and funny protagonist. Not some well off hunk. Not that i can relate to fat pepl but it's nice it's not another 5 star actor. I love it.
Some animations are jenky but it's so sexy and fun it's not problematic. But if you have more computer power update it somday. I hope you make it big nad alot of content ;D looks so promesing. I love comedic inserts... Cops geting spunk all ower is hilarius

VN Quarantine-Libido-0.02-Part-Deux-pc

What a hilarious ride! From the start on you got fast paced story with a not so idealy adonis build male protagonist who has a heart of gold and a solid sized love stick. And even I'm no fan of seeing much dicks in my VN the Dev managed to make it just fit with all the funny witt. There is also some sandbox elements in the begining that is easy and does not feel off. The modles made voluptuous and sexy. The trans is intriguing enough for me to make want to see how the Dev get this build up!
Though the lewd scenes I've seen so far did not get me off. So I'd like to see a ramp up on this important part.
Never the less this project is a gem and if your in for an adult witty hilarious VN you definetly find it here.

Quarantine Libido [v0.01 Demo]

Demo is nicely done. Black Mc we usually don't get that. Loved the humor in it. This one's gonna be a steamy game. Loved that black girl she's thicc. I really had nice laugh dev got nice sense of humor. Sandbox part is not hard it's just a simple free roam. Game is funnier and hot. Mc is fat but he surely is blessed. I can wait for sex scenes cause I'm more into character development but I want lengthy sex scenes in this one cause the girls are hotter and thicc

Fat, Funny and...hot as fuck?

The game has a unique and funny style with its art and music that really stands out. There's art effects and animations that add flair and hilarity to it.

The setting is the usual COVID pandemic one, but here the MC is a fat, disgusting slob down on his luck. But he's a funny son of a bitch and hints at potentially more funny antics in the future. Because of the pandemic, he and the cast are stuck in their apartment building for now...

The renders are nice and the freeroam UI used for this looks unique too.

The preview images show a bevy of hot ladies and I appreciate that they all look unique and different to the typical AVN cast you'd see. The step-sister character is hot as fuck and keen to see what the other characters are like.

The demo here is pretty short, but it's got alot potential. For now, 5/5 stars.

This gem of a title comes out of the gates strong, with a dynamic intro sequence of the MC both literally and metaphorically barreling to rock bottom.

After an attention grabbing introduction, it then provides the background/staging for the narrative with literary precision and a well-produced montage. The story is well-crafted but extremely over-the-top; a rare combination in this space, and has the animations/visual cohesion necessary to reinforce the clearly defined overtones.

We then get options to be brash and a full blown-creep (without being overly-coy or sniveling, for those for whom that is a turn off) or considerate and neighborly. As of the initial demo, being a creep rewards you with more content; which is right up my alley to make my biases known. In the next demo however there will be options to be equally rewarded for being considerate. I'll probably enjoy all the routes as everything is well crafted so far; however, I would definitely prefer creeping/manipulating taking preeminence.

Like I said earlier, the narrative is both coherent and dynamic, all held together by the strong visual fidelity. The characters are diverse in build and features, the lightning is excellent and consistent with the tone, the facial expressions of the characters are expressive, minutely-crafted, and highly articulate, and the animations are so far quite impressive when deployed--but even when motion is conveyed through still images it is fluid and intuitive.

Personally, I like the MC. We meet a guy who is down on his luck, has given up on his dreams, and has devolved into a resigned cycle of fapping and fueling. His successful, ever ambitious stepsister from his found-family (hopefully we get to drop the "found" and "step" parts magically at some point...) is forced to cohabitate with this wreck of a man due to the onset of a pandemic, setting up a promising premise that will force him to pull himself out of the rut he's fallen into by hook or crook.

I can honestly say this immediately rocketed to the top of my list of follows, and I hope it gets the support it so clearly deserves.
