Well, that's something, I mean Akabur may have done goofed up with this one a bit, but according to what I'm seeing on patreon he's a hard worker, so saying that he sucks, or tbh anything else, after all that work is a disservice to him.
In terms of android ports, well these are almost always clunky, I'm not surprised you didn't like it.

Yeah exactly. Honestly I didn't think Android would be great - just something I could try out since I had a tablet lying around anyway - and since people always yell for the Android version, the moment something gets released, I thought it might be viable... I don't consider it as such.

It's done in Ren'Py and aside from annoying UI usage (the UI was clearly designed with touchscreens in mind, but still a mouse just works better imo), and loading delays - the moment you touch some button on the tablet, be it lockscreen, home or whatever - the game immediately looses all unsaved progress. That's really annoying.
