Question about [Male Domination] and [Female Domination] tags

I've searched some tags, particularly looking for H games where you play as a submissive female with fun/hot lose scenarios, or even better where you can progress through the story through submission and being dominated, but I find that some games use these tags differently by people depending on how they interpret the tag.

Or another example would be Karryn's Prison, or Kunoichi Karin, etc where you play as a woman and get dominated or get to be submissive.

But in the linked above, the [Female Domination] tag seems to be interpreted as Females being Dominated, whereas other games with the tag interpret it as Females doing the Dominating.

Would there not be a better way to make it explicitly clear who is being dominated and who is doing the dominating?

It is not about who is being dominated, it is about who is dominating...

When in doubt look at tag rules:

• Female domination [Used when a character submits to a female character via domination.]
• Male Domination [Used when a character submits to a male character via domination.]

Also based on the games you described you aren't even looking for femdom or maledom specifically.

Try this tag combo instead to catch the style of games you are looking for, non-male protag games that have some sort of non-consensual kink in them.

It is not about who is being dominated, it is about who is dominating...

Thanks for the tag rules. I kind of figured that out just by the searching, and your recommended search is really nice results.

However I found another thread where the OP was confused by the tags, as well as a game that has been mislabeled as Female Domination because it has women being dominated, so I'm not the only one, and the tag searches may end up being inaccurate due to confusion

Honestly I really doubt it because those terms are very standard in porn lingo already.

And even in the rare occasion that a new uploader/dev uses the wrong tag they for sure are going to be corrected by user reports very soon because femdom and maledon tend to attract very distinct playerbases.

Thanks for reply, and I think you are right. After playing through the game I was mentioning, and understanding the tags better, I believe the game I was referring to is indeed correctly labeled.

There was some domination in the game by both men and women, and so it was indeed correctly labeled.

Now then, I guess what I should do is make a suggestion/request in the appropriate forum/message-vector to possibly add new tags for my kink and adjacent. (which would tags about domination/submission as they relate to the characters that we the players control. Ex: [Male Domination - MC] which would be applied to games where a character that we control gets to submit to men.)

I don't mean to bump this thread, actually just wanted to put it to bed and thanks for the clarification and guidance.
