Question about new general rule 1.7.2

As I understand it, the new rule aims to forbid the linking of websites which host content that fall in rule 7 of the general rules.

I know I'm being a bit pedantic here, but doesn't that technically mean there are grounds for banning DLsite links? It wouldn't be the first time some game is banned for rule 7 and is actively being distributed there. I understand the rule is most likely for unholy websites that focus on this type of content, but since the rule is relatively vague, I wanted to know what everyone thinks.

Still, I think you can take that part with some common sense. When there's a topic about missing a game -answer: it was banned, next post, "where can I download it?" ... then you giving a link to DLsite (or any sort of hint about) is likely no-no.

whenever else, giving links to DLsite for games that are indexed (allowed) by f95zone, or generally, then it should be fine.
Else, linking to google would be bannable offense, tmu.

And it's not really something new. It's been a long time that it was an enforced unwritten rule.

I guess that the recent rise in rule 1.7 banned games made the staff turn it into a written one.

It’s mainly for sites that cater to rule 7. If the site hosts other content it’s fine. Issue arises where a site might have a dedicated sub section for all said content. Like a dedicated page or sub site. DLSite, Ryuugames and the like are fine. As they do not cater to it.
