We're makin a game and were just wondering what kind of male protagonist is most liked, currently in the concept phase but it would be appreciated to get some community feedback!​

I voted "muscular", not that it should be too muscular, but with a neat and lean physique, with some sculpted muscles it wouldn't be bad.

Seriously tho, it's probably best to have a bland "everyman" type protagonist. Rather than a gigamacho muscle shitbrickhouse, hyper handsome supermodel or scrawny looser. But as the dev, the choice is of corse yours.

I voted for lean, mostly because I just don't care for the extreme look of the scrawny nerdy type or the burly beefcake type.

Don't know if you can change your poll, but you might want to consider putting in another option for Average. Not too scrawny and not too meaty, just your average dude that hits the gym or hits the jogging track a few times a week.

Whatever makes sense for the story really, I don't have a strong preference.

As an overgeneralised example, if the mc is a gym rat, it wouldn't make sense if he was too lean.
And the other way around, if the mc is a nerd, it wouldn't make sense if was buff.

How do you like your male protagonist?

How do I like my male protagonist? Not developed by using a poll. I want a developer and artist to use their own style to create a product that has a well-developed concept and clear vision. It's one thing to seek critique and opinions on something already created (i.e. focus groups and trial audiences) its something completely different to create by committee.
