Seeking Question on platforms for Adult Games

Hi all, We have been creating digital games for years, but are now developing our first Adult Game.
We want it to be WebXR based (VR from a website) so we can avoid all those pesky app stores that don't allow the naughty bits, and WebXR will also allow us to have an Adult Game on Mobile, including iPhones.
However, our prototype is browser based with VR soon to be added, but we have had negative feedback saying that people avoid online Adult Games. Why? Sites like PornHub where people view their fantasies are online only, so why not a game?
Can you all please enlighten me as to why (apparently) many people steer away from Online-only based adult games please.
Should we make it downloadable only? Then you will need a PC link to play the VR.

People are against that idea mostly because we have enough stuff to log into on our daily basis.
Plus. How good will your protection be? What if someone doesn't like the game and decides to ddos your servers and break my fapping streak or, worse, hijack all the passwords?
Unless this game has MMO elements. There is no reason for players to engage with that. It's extra steps when there is a LOT of products already that don't ask for that.
You can absolutely try to make an online only game, but only if it has some actual "online" elements.

There is no login and hence no password to be hacked. Your progress through the game is saved in your browser memory the same as player prefs for an exe game.
It is not multiplayer and there are no other online elements. We wanted it to play in a browser so we could use WebXR, VR from a browser, and allow you to play on mobile including iPhone, without needing to go through an app store (where adult games are generally rejected anyway).
Condescending or not, we have taken on board what you say and will consider making multiple platforms or the same game, to provide a choice for players.

People are happy with Adult Games and always moving towards them. Who is really against Adult Games are "Great Cypher" shariah organised by the companies who controls all internet access points and the ways of payment such as Google, Facebook and others. I just can suggest why are they blocking an access to sexual stuff so actively. Probably they are dreaming about mind control or something like this. If it would not bring lot of money religion and politics wouldn't be so concerned about this every day.

You didn't mention if your game is free to play and if you're hosting it yourself or on a well-established site like itch.io. You say you've had negative feedback but you're here asking why, so i'm wondering how you received that negative feedback? Did no one provide reasons? Are you developing in an engine that can export to different platforms? If so and if it's not too much trouble, you could consider doing both online and a download. Personally i don't like paying for online-only content but i have no problem with online-only if it's free.

Thanks for the Info. I didn't know about that thread , I will investigate it.
The game is a demo level at the moment and is free to play. and hosting it ourselves on our own server. However, we will put it on itch.io and steam (download version).
The negative feedback was on reddit, people saying that they would never play an online adult game as they are mostly just scams.
But yes, we are now porting it to both download and online. For Mobile, ir will be download for android, but online for Apple as they do not allow Adult Games.

I'd definitely encourage you to keep pursuing the WebXR version; interactive and immersive adult experiences on the web are still super rare.
