question on the so little sfm videos compared to the comics/manga

i have to thank you for helping me realize that one of my threads was in the wrong section but in this thread im not asking for any sfm videos or cartoon stuff im just opening up discussions which i like doing to get people talking about certain things so its not all in game threads

I tend to watch most SFM stuff through boorus, rule34.xxx is usually one of the more popular ones for such content. Not everything gets tagged with sfm though, so I usually use more generic search terms: "
You must be registered to see the links
" which will catch just about all the SFM stuff on there as well as a wide variety of 3D animations from other sources including TK17, MMD, and stuff made with full-fledged 3D toolsets like Blender/Maya/Max.

yeah i should note this thread isnt about complaining in the difference of comics and manga between cartoon videos and sfm siterips i respect and understand people will upload that stuff more im just curious if people dont know certain sites like

Ya, I get that, mostly I just wanted to point that out for those who come into the thread curious about SFM so they'd have at least one place they're sure to find plenty since as you said they tend to be more under-represented here compared to comics and games. After all the more people who take interest and explore what's available, the more likely some of them will start supporting one or more of their favorites that they come across and that could lead to more people posting such content here.
But I'm with you, I hardly ever look for comics here, in particular the hentai variety since there are already so many other places that make it easier to search out new stuff and find works I'm looking for. Though admittedly I don't really look for animations here all that often either, since again they tend to be better represented elsewhere in much greater number and variety. I basically stick to discovering games and following general on here since games are where this site shines.

I agree and wish this site had more SFM and more video's you know stuff like girlfriends 4 ever, FutaNarica - Yoga Class 1 & 2 and Bloodlust Cerene!

The big reason is that models used in SFM most of the time are AAA game rips that have been edited to make them appropriate for use in lewds. Only a small handful of those working on animations with SFM are actually capable of creating full on original models of an acceptable quality. Most just take pre-made breasts and genitals (and sometimes entire pre-made bodies while just keeping the game model head), then rough fit them to the portion of the ripped model they are keeping, then do their best to weld them together and match the textures around the seams (sometimes). Most are just doing basic animation work with models they snagged from the web, but since most of those models are of highly questionable legality, they can't really be used for games (at least not ones you'd hope to make any money off of without getting sued back into the dark ages, heh).
Another reason they tend to come out with better quality is that SFM just has a lot better tools for animation than the likes of Daz or Honey Select which are where most game renders come from. Quality tools really make a big difference in the quality of what you can produce. Then there is the fact that most who use Daz these days take advantage of iRay, which does produce pretty nice results with minimal effort but with very high render times, making smooth animations prohibitively expensive in terms of hardware requirements and time.
