Never said cheating was ok, BUT we're only human, so we're bound to make mistakes. The important thing is to learn from them and fix them. Some ppl learn from their or other ppl's mistakes, others don't, and keep repeating them or making new ones without giving too many fucks about their actions or who they hurt in the process. It's how life is and exactly what happened in this game between the MC and his ex-wife.

Things ain't always black or white, there's some gray in between them too, and you'll have to adapt to the situation at hand, not find excuses to dodge taking accountability for your choices or actions. If a guy don't want to be cheated on, dumped by his woman, or whatever, he needs to make sure she values him and their relationship enough so she won't do that or will think at least a few times before doing it than hearing the same guy start bitching again and again about how much he supposedly loved her, how he has exactly 0 part of the blame in her cheating and how she only did that cuz she was a backstabbing, selfish slut. That's what only a lil kid or Allison would do, not a reasonable actual adult.
Sorry to anyone else trying to argue with me on this, but in our fictional case, both of them screwed up and only one of them was willing to do anything to have a good co-parenting relationship, while Allison, to me at least, sounded pretty convincing with her threats about not wanting to let the MC see his daughter anymore prior to her tragic accident.

What you said varies from person to person, and yes, some women would eventually find comfort in other men's arms, men they think have earned their trust, cuz women are more emotional by nature compared to men and will need to feel safe, loved and supported in a man's arms again, whereas other women will dread even thinking (for some time at least) about dating other men and risking to end up in another abusive relationship like their previous one cause of that mistrust you mentioned there.
