VN - Ren'Py - Radiant [v0.6.3] [RK Studios]

Super fun game. Not sure quite where the story is going just yet. But deff very promising so far.

I like the variety of personalities the girls have as well as the variety of looks.

Slow burn to getting to sex with most of the characters

Holy shit this game is well made. From the amazing renders, to the great animations, to the well written introduction of the game, to the father daughter incest theme (we got plenty of mothers and sisters already, so having daughter incest is a very welcome change for me) this game is all around amazing. The only flaw is that the game is very short right now, but that is to be expected at version 0.2.

Just finished the last version of the game(0.2.1 at this time) and the feeling that I´ve got is that I just need more!

The game is excellent, script is pretty extensive, dialogs are good and evolve quite naturally.
Models are really detailed, not the typical ones and the 3 ladies are simply awesome.
The main character has a lot of possibilities, I guess that we´ll see more of the effect of the choices with the upcoming updates.

I have enjoyed a lot playing the game and as a suggestion, I would add some fun/comedy and also minigames that affect the evolution of the game if that´s possible.

Such a nice and different game I have seen being recommended in other threads from time to time, sadly never found the time to try it out myself. But now after finally finding some time to try it so do I understand why it is being so warmly talked about just by the opening/prologue itself.

This game has amazing art and super cute models which are complimented by a really coherent and thought true storyline, all the characters have their own distinct personality that suit them well. Maybe some of the characters get attached to the MC a little to quickly but I have see that happen with some charismatic people irl so I just see him/me as a charismatic person in game, which works for me to explain it. You get loads of choices on how to tailor your MC and how he interacts with the different LI's, you can either be a straight up dickhead towards some, a pervert towards others or a romantic, all depends on how you want to play. So if you like choices then this game is really for you. Game is rather lengthy already, but have not followed the game before now so don't know how much playtime gets added per update, if he release by chapter so would I guess it is about 1 hour of content each update.

If there is one place where the game is lacking so is it in the sex department, what is there is really hot but for the most part so is the game in the teasing stage with most of the characters, which is not a negative as we are still somewhat in the early stages with the LI's either way. I do however have high hopes for future updates to maybe turn up the heat some more, and hopefully so wont this become a straight up tease fest.

Definitely one of the best games on F95. All the characters are human-like and have distinct characters, the story is interesting, the renders are fabulous, the humor is funny. I just wish there were more than 2 chapters. Definitely waiting for more.

P.S. Natalie and her Ukrainian swears are top notch - funny, unexpected and uniquely add to the personality. Great find!

A very promising initial effort, which seems to reflect the two creators' rather different strengths and avoids or minimizes the weaknesses of their previous games.

The initial setup and plot is an unpromising pastiche of cliches from the porn game genre: amnesia, unknown daughters, and a Gary Stu-esque MC. The introduction is also too long and does not involve any meaningful choices at all. Impatient players might give up on the game before it begins.

But when we _finally_ get to the game, things shoot off in a much more positive direction. The MC is revealed to have serious weaknesses and shortcomings, despite his apparently perfect body and ideal lifestyle. He has enemies and people who could cause problems. And he is surrounded by different options and temptations that allow him real agency: he can be a really terrible person, a pervy but good (or bad) person, or a sadistic freak. It looks like we will be able to see those distinctions play out in the story and via lewd scenes.

There is not very much lewd content, yet, but what we've seen so far is very encouraging. The encounter with a certain character in a semi-public setting offers both excellent and unique animations (look at where her panties end up!) and a genuinely erotic element. If the rest of the lewd content in the game is even half as good, this could be one of the best.

I give this game a 5 star rating at this initial stage, despite the flawed introduction -- let's see if the creators can keep it up. It's worth noting that updates have been exceptionally slow, due to the creators' other commitments (worthy, but inferior, games). Let's hope they can wind those other efforts up soon and focus on _Radiant_ which certainly deserves the attention.

Amazing, but extremely short and little lewd content.
The game looks amazing the renders are beautiful, and so are the characters, their personality is reflected in their body language and their facial expressions which are truly rare to see, and the animations are also very well done. If there is one thing i would bring up as a criticism is that almost every female protagonists face look very similar to each other, even the ones that in theory have nothing to do with each other.
The writing is also top tier. I love the characters, every one is well written and the story is also captivating. I cant wait to see more. Its shame that its so short at the moment.

Holy fucking shit best game right now cant wait for updates, The taboo is perfect the game seems rich already the attention to detail is great and the characters are compelling and likeable.
I would just like that the dev focused on 1 path at a time but overall the options that the game gives me feel great and rich

I’d give it a 5 star but i believe game has two down sides.First one is the infamous ‘Mc fever’.Now i can let suddenly appearing side characters lusting for MC slide.But nowhere in the world 2 of your daughters start to talk about your penis on the second day they met you.Don’t get me wrong all of the triplets are unique both in appereance and character wise.I just believe there is more narrative to told between them before getting to that point.We have a guy who didn’t know about his daughters for 18 years so i don’t think first think they would think about would be having sex.

Second one is the update frequency.Now i know what some devs think about this site but i think here they have a great chance to advertise their game.So releasing more content can make it more appealing for potencial supporters.

Overall this game has a good potential.Triplets feel unique,male supporting characters are fine too;while i am not fan of female supporting cast,they are bearable.Renders look very good (tho some work can be done on animations).Choices feel like they will make impact(this might be an illusion,it’s only 0.2 right now).Long story short i am looking forward for the next update.

I really wanted to love this game. It had/has an original, even if somehow tragic, beginning. IMO good writing, very nice renders and the story seemed to lead to an interesting development.
Unfortunately, I had a problem with the pace of the build up....too many encounters in just 2-3 days, "tenants" falling in love with the MC within a too short time...even if he's almost absent (sleeping or going on dates) and not taking time to get acquainted with the girls.
The introduction of Natalia and the frustrated cop is not relevant at this point of the game and should at least be kept for later.
Let's not even talk about the waitress...
As it was already stated by other reviewers, the paths choices are a bit confusing and I'm not sure the players will redo the game to try to pinpoint or compare the differences,

So, I'm a bit conflicted. This is good. Really good, except for a few experimental things that ended up just terrible. However it's showing so many warning signs with no indications that they are aware they may be heading off a cliff or three.

The main terrible thing - the way the types of choices are indicated. I get wanting to keep things sleek and a bit more cinematic, but there are better options than flashing lights. Unskippable flashing lights. Just no. It's terrible. It's so bad it's worth doing the work to replace it entirely. A subtle image in a corner of the screen or something would work. It's also a bit easier to form an association with an image than it is the color of the awful flashing that you're so distracted by you hardly process what color it is. And which color relates to what, again?

As for the warning signs... way too many girls. Way too many story threads. New girls are coming in at least as fast as scenes with the major girls. Then there are one or two other story threads already in addition to all the girls. And they show no signs of stopping, only growing.

These sorts of games die when all the options and all the goings-on get to be too much. Updates for any particular path get super short or even don't exist. Quality goes down as paths get messily merged and major things don't get referenced because not all players would have had it happen. Mistakes get made as things get referenced that not all players had happen.

And managing all of this complexity gets to be too much. There's too many routes, too many scenes that too many people don't see, and nobody gets enough of the things they really like the most and they have to put up with an increasing amount of the stuff they don't care about so much.

These games do best when they are kept tight and focused. This game still seems to be getting bigger faster. It's still really good now. Maybe this will be the first game to pull it off. I doubt it though.

And seriously, get rid of the flashing. Fucking flashing.

Beautifully-crafted VN with a choice-driven story that mixes a triple shot of temptation in an already loaded glass. Classy work, meaningful and emotionally-packed, with a great script, good music and leaving my soul burning and yearning for more. Wow, we will all end up "dammed". Great stuff!

So far a pretty nice game, one of the best I've found on these forums. The girls are very likeable, and the prologue was extremely well written. Gracie as well was extremely likeable, felt very natural (not usual on a porn game, specially when you fuck her on the first day), and I don't remember myself being deeply sad and heartbroken about a character, specially in an adult game, I really felt a void that is unusual for me on this kind of games. Also for some reason the timeskip felt like I was playing something like "The Last of Us", I already said it but it felt natural. It felt belieable, even for something odd like being in coma for 10 years. I guess good writing does that.

I still didn't finish the current version yet, but the game looks extremely polished, besides the girls gorgeous models, as well their personalities are also quite nice. I'm sad about Gracie as I said above, I'm a sucker for happy family endings, would be nice if she were in coma as well instead dead in the end, but I understand the game has to have that "sentiment of loss" to encourage a deep story and connection with the other characters, like a fresh start. Sure the game feels extremely well worked, but hands down for the writing, extremely well written. Sure I like some sexy stuff, that's why I use these forums, but many games look bland and only want to explore the fetishes and taboos. This feels more than a simple adult game, it makes you feel engaged with it, and most importantly, it makes you to bond with the characters and story.

This game is definitely going into the right direction (at least of what I've played so far), and sure deserves all the praise. It's an adult game, but it feels more than that, it feels like an actual project besides an "part-time project", which I would even like to see on Steam. If the quality keeps this up on next releases I may patron (even though my wallet isn't that big), and I encourage you to do it as well if you can. I have no idea how I didn't catch this on release, I just wanted another game through incest tag and I'm glad I've found this, it's way way more than just that. It's a fantastic game and I hope many other games look this game as an example of what a good product should be. I just can't praise enough the quality of what I've played and what I felt playing so far.

Sorry for the wall of text, wasn't this excited about a game on these forums for a damn long time, as well wasn't able to explain shortly on what this game differs. Definitely feels like an actual professional game than an "part-time" project, and I hope the devs continue the quality and don't rush the product due fan demand. I just hope other games like this see the example, of how you can explore fetishes and taboos without being an "easy fap" and actual feel like a game you're looking forward to engage into and play. My only fear is that the prologue and begining of the actual story looked so good and authentic that it feels it will be hard to reply the same engagement through the rest of the story. But if the devs can keep up with it, then it has everything to be one the best games these forums ever had.

edit: changed my review due the lack of comitment from the dev. It's the 2nd time he abandons his project, and even the previous patreon page keeps receiving money. Unfortunely way too many red flags for an actual scam. My fears about the game came true, which is sad, because as I said above, the dev is clearly talented, yet shows all signs of greed and milking the patrons without content.

I'm all in to encourage everyone to support devs on patreon when they work hard. This is definitely NOT one of them. Lack of work, insane funding, and specially, lack of comunication to their fans. And as I said, it isn't the first time he does this.

Best game out here. This game honestly made me feel many different things, sad, happy, excited. Sir Dammed and Alorth have really outdone themselves here and I'm incredibly excited for future updates!

After watching the first chapter, why do I have the feeling that everyone is a little stuttering? Is it because they almost never start a sentence without stumbling (B-But... S-Sorry...) or is it because there are more dot, dot, dot than words? It is not necessary that all sentences are separated with dot, dot, dot, there is something called a comma.

Fantastic graphics, a beautiful story and a nice plot, but it stays at three stars because of those poor dialogues, I'm sorry...

Once seen the second episode I can't raise my rating, the appearance of an envious cop doesn't make much sense to me, between that and the Russian girl, the game has the danger to end up becoming a Soap Opera. I hope that doesn't happen.

After 2.1 version, I take one point away from my rating for the appearance of absolutely unnecessary violence against womens.

Version Played: v0.3

Time to Complete: 3.5 hours for one run. While the game recommends playing multiple times, I just haven't found a reason to do another run.

TL;DR: An incredible demo that leaves me extremely excited to see how this game turns out in the future.

[4.5/5] Story: This game is simply too short to make any calls on the story. The premise is promising and of the characters I paid attention to, they're all unique and interesting, but there just hasn't been enough general story or character development to be able to make any calls.

[4.5/5] Renders: This game has some top tier renders. Both the scenes and characters are incredible, with the girls being absolutely adorable. I especially like the scenes where the absolutely gorgeous skyboxes are put on display. The only issue with the renders I've seen is that some scenes have an obvious cut where the scene ends and the skybox starts.

[+5/5 Music]: This game has some of the best music of any VN I've played yet. I'm actually in the process of listening through the music and adding it to my personal playlist as I write this.

[*] Updates: This game is extremely slow to update - some may even find it infuriatingly slow. Since I am not a supporter of the developers, I have no right to be angry about the rate of updates, however if you are considering supporting this game, I personally suggest you consider any smaller developers you may also like. These developers already have a lot of support and you will likely make a larger impact supporting a smaller developer.

This review is for version 0.2, so hopefully I’ll be editing this soon with a better score.

Radiant has a lot of good going for it so far. There’s a touching prologue that introduces you to the mother of the three main love interests, as well as getting you acquainted with a little of who the protagonist is. The visuals are beautiful. Even the mentor character is charming. Most importantly, based on the few sex scenes in the game so far, I believe the writers have a talent for erotic fiction and will produce some steamy scenes.

My issues with Radiant fall entirely in the version 0.2 update. Some story elements were suddenly hamfisted into the story and derailed it from what made version 0.1 so endearing.

A villain is introduced, and although the writing does an excellent job of making the player feel powerless and threatened by the villain, the villain himself is comically over the top in his expressions of antagonism. Moreover, his motivations for opposing the protagonist are pretty much just screamed out, “I want to ruin you because I envy you!” I would’ve liked to see a more gradual development of the villain and his conflict, for the sake of subtlety and pacing.

Four (if not five) new possible love interests were crammed into this update alone, with one of them literally throwing herself onto the protagonist’s dick while she’s waiting his table during a date—a date he went on instead of spending time with his girls in their first week in his home. Other women foreshadowed a relationship with the protagonist in the future. Not only does the rate that women are throwing themselves at the protagonist feel silly and distracting within a single chapter, but this makes me worried for the future of this game from a development standpoint. I believe there is no possible way for an author to do justice to the story’s three main relationships if he/she has to write and render scenes for possible relationships with four or five other characters. Something is going to suffer for this—as it did in this update.

Overall, I would’ve liked to see more focus invested in developing the three young women as unique and vivid characters. I wanted to see the protagonist develop himself and his relationship with these characters. I think it’s a fine idea to have a couple of love options closer to the protagonist’s age, for any players who would rather playthrough having a nonsexual relationship with the three girls. I even like the villain and the ghost of the past storylines. But at the end of the day we’re all playing Radiant to see the story between the protagonist and these three girls. That’s where the majority of content and energy should go, and I don’t feel that this update delivered on that.

I'm not sure if the dev listened to the criticism or if this was his plan all along, but after a disappointing second chapter the game is now heading in the right direction!

Most of the uninteresting side-characters were moved to the background and we finally get to spend some quality (corruption) time with our sweet girls. And looking at the current story flow it seems like that will continue in the next update. This is exactly what I was hoping for after the first release.

It's still a shame that the updates take so long (>6 months). The fact that every woman falls madly in love with the MC at first sight is kinda tiring and the stories of Brooke (your colleague) and the waitress girl are... unlikely, to say the least. But apart from that this game is turning out great.
