My review as of 0.6.1:
The game is definitely good, i really enjoyed it. I appreciate a lot of the options the dev provides, and the story and dialogue between characters is pleasant and concise. The art and the animations are great and props for making "The Event" on CH6 long and varied enough for it to feel special, as it should.
That being said, my experience is different from those that started following this game since 2020. If i had to wait 4 years to get to the point we are at, i would have probably given it a different rating. I'm not saying "Boo Dev slow!" or anything like that, but the choice to have this many side characters and subplots introduced has definetly made the game feel a lot slower due to the Dev/artist having to render all these new things that have yet to bear fruits.
If my experience with other games is anything to go on, this is a recipe for disaster and it will culminate in the Dev losing interest a couple years down the line tired from all the complaining and rush an ending never getting anywhere with most of these subplots (or the game being abandoned).
Moments like this is when you need to learn to play to your base, the majority of the people that will play/pay for this game are fans of the in'est genre and are here for the development of the relationship with the main girls. Which takes "time" or otherwise it would feel rushed, but that "time" is in-game time, not necessarily irl time, if instead of spending in game time dealing with subplots like
(which is not a diss to those characters btw and i don't count
since they serve a purpose to the main girls story) the game would spend more time focused on the main girls, then development of their relationship would be faster without feeling rushed, and the game would feel more focused.
This point becomes more relevant considering the Psyche options and the different routes one can take, which just makes the scope of the game bigger and the end blurrier and further away.
I know this is all hindsight so my recommendation would be focusing on what has currently been shown, avoid anymore subplots and don't forget the main plot for the sake of novelty or spurts of inspiration. You guys are doing great so far, it's just the speed of story progress that seems to be the biggest issue, so keep it focused and i'm sure the game will end up being great.
