Request Rar to apk

I have a game that supposedly has android support i download it its a rar file. rar the app doesnt change it to apk when extracted it just extracts the game data images text etc
I have tried renaming the .rar to .apk to change the extension and it says there was a problem while parsing the package its a game i wanna check out but i cabt figure this out any help is appreciated
