Ren'Py - RE: Hero Academia [v2 - 0.3] [Double-H]

It went from really good to terrible thanks to the remake, if you are going to play it I recommend the V1.

What V2 tried doing was "improving" the art and story and making the story the main focus of the game. Which is funny since both of these things are better in V1.

I have no clue if the success of the V1 got into the devs' head. They were like "Let me cook, I have a cool story to tell,", but the truth is people played it only because the characters are from a really mainstream IP, it has nothing to do with the quality of the game, V2 just made this even more apparent.

It is an MHA porn game, I don't even like the show and enjoy playing its eroges, I, however, play it for the porn parts as 99% of the people (the 1% is the development team jerking themselves off). The dev thinks he is that one really perverted Japanese guy that however has a story-writing talent and ends up making a masterpiece with porn in it, they are not him, they will never be him. Stick to porn

The game has too many problems.

The story is nothing special, the characters are close enough to the original show that is good for a porn game and that they feel like the characters from the show.

The gameplay is a pretty bad and empty sandbox with a very undercooked combat mechanic.

The art is okay but sometimes it looks really weird.

The sex scenes are good enough I liked the animations I wouldn´t say they are good but I liked them.

The music is generic.

And there are a lot of bugs and errors, like events overlapping, error text when going into the library it feels very unfinied and broken because of that.


But if you want a MHA porn game this is good enough.

Error after error. Had to look through the discussion to find a file to get past the intro. Then I got to play a little of the story, only to once again run into an error when needing to continue a store line.

Just get the gallery unlock with it, download and go right to your pc to look at the scenes, because you wont get far beyond all the errors to see any of them.

The game is kinda of rough. Goals are not clear. On one quest I had 10x the amount of cash needed to complete the quest but i was being told i didnt have enough money.

You get softlocked easily, you get multiple events, quests stacking on top of each other. causeing mutliple things to happen and go wrong. the combat system is simple enough but also a little confusing to look at. This game will need some serious overhauling and polish to bring my score to a 4 or a 5

The story is ok but nothing super special. It at least makes sense. (contains english is my second language grammar but it isnt terribly bad or too distracting.)

The art is ok, there is room for some improvement but solid enough to know who everyone is and to get your chub going. the animations are varied but are far from smooth, some TLC and polish here could really make this game shine.

music is nice since it's not the same music i'm used to always hearing. would be a 3 star game but i had to take a star away due to the multiple soft locks that i ran into while trying to get the existing content

Good Luck making it through the story without clicking everything in perfect order or else permanently soft locking yourself out of certain content. Good try but the only upside is tsuyu, everyone else looks slightly sped.

some of the sex scenes could use some more polish, especially the midnight sex scene where she rides you, those legs are... something. otherwise the story has me hooked, most the sex scenes are great, combat is interesting. definitely needs a bit of polish but everything is here for a fantastic game. lookin forward to watch the game develop.

This might be a bit early to give such a high rating, but hear me out. This game manages to have a compelling story with both momentum and a clear end-goal. Its portrayal of MHA characters has enough depth to make you care and avoids going too out of character, and the main characters is actually mostly likeable(this one's a rare one in games like these for some reason)!
Add to that some solidly written, creative smut(what there is of it, like I said it's till early) and you have a pretty strong mix.
The art is not as elaborate as other works on here, but it sticks close to MHA in style so it gets a pass from me.
Mechanically the combat system shows a fair bit of promise and the gimmick of being able to use every tool you have once a day has been used in such a way that it doesn't feel annoying or tacked on, and it gives clearly defined avenues of getting stronger, that also interact with the dating-sim side of the game.

This is solid work, looking forward to more.
