Check and make sure you have the updated and correct plugin for Joiplay. That is usually the cause of games not working.

Ok finally managed to get to the new update, and...
"It was nothing lady get back to work"
What is she talking about? The weird escapade on the building site? I've tried my best to be as negative about her as possible
And yet keep getting forced into scenes where you get love and lust points...
Is there really no way to tell her "nah thanks lady not interested"?
We discussed ad nauseam the incest/no incest topic that tbh doesn't even bother me, this is the only 1 thing that actually bothers me (a bit), forced drooling and forced interactions, despite all the "worrying" signs she gives off.
Don't get me wrong I understand stories need a macguffing to make them progress, but she really feels forced onto the player, what's even the point of having differences in relationshisp with her?

She's vital to the plot as both a counterbalance to Bob's plotline and, very likely, the story's biggest plot twist (or a subversion of said plot twist). Now, what power can possibly drive the MC away from his longtime friend? Why, he's going through midlife crisis, becomes all sentimental and gets into a honey trap of course! Why do we need points though? They will probably decide MC's reaction when we find out the truth about her. Will we win her through Power of Love, dominate her through sex, or will she successfully betray us, forcing us to rely on Bob for help? Up to us!
So I'd say we're not actually on Emily's path yet, unlike how it may seem, as all of their flirting is just part of main story, and we can still lose her to the villains. The moment it's possible but we don't is when her path actually starts, and for that, choices will be important.

You are right Zorro, and if I think about it rationally I know it, heck I even said I was sure she was really intended to be the daughter (pre-rework), and I know we are playing an AVN, so the sexual sphere should be relevant, but...
Since she can't be the daughter (anymore?), so there's no "big plot twist" concerning her, besides the fact that she's an honey trap and onto something, everything you said could be achieved without the need to force the MC to "fall for her".
- He could keep her around because he trusts her, thou it should have been shown better
- He could keep her around because she works well, thou they actually never show anything remotely close (besides her saying she does it and hi saying "yes baby... gimme that ass tho!")
- He could have kept her around because they actually start a friendship, which is clearly not intended in-game.
She really has no redeeming quality, meaning we don't see it besides her telling us how good she is and the MC nodding while drooling, except for being hot, hot in a setting where every single woman around a succesfull, ruthless, and self-made "womanizer" MC, is a hottie.
Using the example above, Elsa is actually smarter than that MC, she knows it, he knows it, she clearly had her own agenda, but we as players were left wondering if it was a nafarious one, or simply that she likes to help bumbling buffoons to succeed, etc...

This is of course all personal opinion, I tend not to like forced LIs, but since I know in some cases they are integral to the storyline, I wish they'd at least been written better, this isn't a kinetic novel there are a lot of ways (that don't take much extra work/variables) to allow for her to remain a vital part of the storyline even without being a forced LI.

Writing is really off but the sexual tension between MC, Emily and Chloe is great. They both look gorgeous

Ok silly question, considering my horrible memory, but why does Emily ask this?
There was no date happening (I'm not on the scret lover route), up until this point the only event with Chloe was the movie at their place and the streaming thingy, but neither would qualify as date?
Also I don't mind spoilers, atm moving onto another AVN, but I saw screenshots where there's choices to be made during the slightly lesbian scene between Emily and Chloe, I didn't get any, I have high love with Chloe, but no love and no freindship with Emily in this run, any idea what triggers those choices?

Yeah I think that's a bug. Probably a missed path condition before that dialogue. It's showing on both paths currently.
Do you mean the part where MC opens the door? If Chloe gets mad and the scene ends, then one of these criteria weren't met:
chloe_stream_touch and player_score == 3 and not agree_with_the_donation- or -
event_strangere- or -
chloe_feeling_love

I really don't mind the bug. The love route is content starved it needs to overlap with the lust route.
That scene doesn't even make sense in any route. The relationship heading for a threesome went too fast.

He wouldn't really trust her if he was being rational, he barely knows her. Working well or being friends is one thing, and trying to set him against his longtime friend and company co-owner is another, her anti-Bob plotline wouldn't really work. Alas, I think falling for her works best for her plot.
Excuse me? She's also smart, helpful, kind, hard-working, insightful, reads people, plays hard to get, her hobbies aren't stereotypically "young" so she's compatible with an older guy… Last but not least, she's supposedly very focused on helping MC find his daughter - e.g. give him exactly what he wanted when first meeting her.
Of course, all of this goes straight to trash when/if she turns out to be a mole… But so far, she hasn't.
Didn't we all say that everything moves too slowly? Be careful what you wish for, indeed…

Sorry I really don't dabble in variables, all I know is that I have 5 love with her and like 10 lust, I did the stream, but had no option for a donation, meaning the donations happen no matter what at the end.
What I meant with my examples is that she could have easily been written to satisfy one or more of those criteria as well as the drooling one, but she hasn't.
I surely would't call her kind, she's kind when it suits her and things are going her way else she's more bitchy and commanding than kind.
I wouldn't count the "plays hard to get" as positive considering the context is that the reason she's where she is because the MC wants her, but yes she does play hard to get.
Let's be honest why does the MC approach her in the cafee, offers her a lift on the street, offer her the job, and keeps listening to her? It's because he's a hopeless horndog.
Unfortunately (?) there's one trait I despise in folks, and yes that also applies to characters in AVNs
, being liars.She might not be in cahoots with the shady dude (thou it looks likely), but she sure as hell is not just there by chance.
I agree with you she's smart (more than the MC for sure), there's a reason she enters the cafe where the MC sits, a reason why she is outside Grace's house later on when he leaves, a reason why she plays "hard to get", a reason why she does everything she does, a reason she at the very least doesn't want to share with the MC, which on itself is lying by omission.

you're supposed to be suspicious of everyone outside of your househo- *COUGHfamilyCOUGH*.
that is mostly of the point of this story, as it is a mystery thriller with some loose whodunit elements. and yes, the seggs. and the wincest.
in those kinds of narratives, you're supposed to be suspicious of everyone and everything, even - or often especially when something feels obvious or contradictory along the way.
what one is not supposed to do, is to have a puerile tantrum when things don't eventuate in the outcome one had assumed or had in their mind.
if the dev/writer isn't stupid, they won't change the story/narrative just because of some cretinous mopings of pestiferous wazzocks.
the story isn't told in full yet, therefore it's obtusely silly to be drawing rigidly definitive conclusions at this point - when the main storyline is only still in its second act.
mystery thrillers arguably most often have 4 acts:
I - the hook/setup
II - investigation/rise
III - dark turn/spiral/climax
IV - revelation/resolution/conclusion
speculation is always fine - in fact, encouraged - because it indicates investment to the story. but definitive conclusions should not be drawn, when all you know are footprints in a mile of desert.
presumptuous claims like “this is how it's going to play out,” and then agressively - often offensively - defending them is just really obstinately fatuous, at this point of any story - especially when nobody but the writer knows how the plotlines will eventually be resolved.
I'm saying this before innocuous expression of opinions are twisted into infernal twaddle, as all discourse of AVN's of this type seem to be irrevocably bound to.
while it does showcase that people are invested in the story - meaning, the story is good - some people take that as an invitation to vehemently claim it's not. such pudding-brains are either in denial, too stupid to comprehend the story, or too embarrassed to admit they like it because of some latent pathetic insecurities. so they must act rude and superior, as a coping mechanism.
nobody would argue with such repugnant predilection if they truthfully didn't like or care about a story, unless they're pathetic or just like being malapert pissants.
so let's keep things proper, if only for this once, ok? please!

Regardless thanks mate, it made me cuckle, and I really needed it, I'm currently reviewing a script from someone who's supposed to be a pro, who's getting paid a bunch of money, and the quality of said "pro script" is actually worse than most AVNs you can find on here.
