Is there any good actively developed VR (NON-hentai!) game you would recommend?
I've seen a few like

VRTitties (not much to do, static animations, slow development)
Yiffalicious (decent but not mainly focused on VR)
Ieira's Sex Stuff (good but seems dead)
SinVR (interesting but requires a subscription based payment which is more expensive than any porn site like Brazzers)

However I wonder if there is an interesting project on Patreon I've missed or anything you would recommend yourself.

Virt-A-Mate has some incredibly robust VR functionality, but it's pretty user-input reliant to get the most out of it. I recommend checking out the various scenes people have created.

I'm not sure if OP means "non-hentai" in the sense of either excluding Japanese games or excluding games with anime-like models, but in the case of the former there's some decent stuff to be explored with the help of VR mods. They won't have all the bells and whistles of a true made-for-VR game, of course, but the likes of HoneySelect, PlayClub, or PlayHome offer a decent alternative to pure pancake viewing.

Crazy how there still aren't really any good VR games except Virt-A-Mate, which still has major limitations.

I've seen Captain Hardcore mentioned more than once but I checked out the Patreon and the free demo , Graphics look good and so do physics if you care about that but I don't see what makes it special. The devs are currently working on adding male characters, I assume there was lesbian scenes and masturbation possible so far? I don't get off to masturbation so with a name like "Captain Hardcore" I was assuming there would be some heavy kinks in there and hardcore sex. I'm asking because I wouldn't mind buying some new VR porn game to try out. Any recommendations?

If you want Eye Candy I recommend you 180 Stereoscopic videos, there are some models that are quite good with intimate dialogs.

However for VR Games that are NOT hentai I would give Virt-a-Mate a go, it is kind of difficult to use first, but you get used to the clunky UI, there's one that is SUPER realistic because it have REAL scans from real people called "HOLODEXXX" I can't post links yet since I'm new but you should totally give Holodexxx a try... it looks amazing! Captain hardcore is quite fun and one of my favorite porn games too.
