Honestly, that boss fight is more like "unfun" than unfair (and maybe even poorly designed since the game doesn't prepare you really well for it), and you can't actually do a meaningful amount of damage in most of his attacks.
I made a guide on how to fight him.
By dashing through i meant actually dashing before he gets close, the dash isn't invulnerable (i think), but he's slow enough to not hit you in time.

You know what, I'm gonna be bitch to myself and do a challenge. First boss, no damage, no ninjutsu. Just raw skill and timing. I'll post the video when I'm finished.

Ha, i almost did it accidentally. Just stay in the corner and didn't use ninjutsu, he just hit me once (i just jump on him, 0.0.7 is still harder, but more annoying cuz too much hp)

After the boss there is nothing more and the game ends there.
If you however mean how to leave the town you must press W or up arrow on one of the only houses that works then to all the way to the ends of the next few screens and you should be good to go.

The gameplay is actually pretty fun once you get the hang of it, I didn't even need to use tools to beat that boss, just the heal technique. The secret is always getting that third basic attack on him since it does a lot of stagger damage, but take advantage of the fact that you can cancel its animation into a dodge if you see an attack coming, its sort of like playing dark souls actually, pretty fun stuff, looking forward to the release, is there an ETA or something? how old is this demo
