Reddit made me scared of commenting

Not even kidding, I got banned once on Reddit just for saying a game was too good.
Another time I said a dev deserved more support, boom, downvotes from orbit.
I think I have PTSD from that place now. Every time I’m about to hit “Post” on any site, my soul hesitates.
Anyway, I’m trying to be brave today. This is me… posting.
Anyone else got scarred by Reddit or is it just me?

plebbit, xitter, shitstagram, etc., are all just paid comment sections now. nothing’s real there, it’s all just marketing propaganda and engagement bait dressed up as convo. every post is either a shill or some corpo agenda. you didn’t get downvoted for being wrong, you just got in the way

Appreciate it. That’s exactly what it did to me. Now I second-guess myself every time I hit Post, even if I’m not saying anything wrong.

I hope it's just you, or at least a minority of people. So they ban you, don't let that bother you. It's an anonymous platform, there's zero consequences to bans and downvotes (as well as upvotes). A powerhungry loser (reddit mod) is doing you a favor by banning, so you don't waste your time in his echo chamber.

I've been a redditor for over 10 years, and the frequency of normal comments devulging into toxic / political arguing, and ppl hivemind downvoting over difference of opinion has increased several fold. Even subreddits I used to enjoy for a quick laugh like "/r/therewasanttempt" have become basically 90% political memes.

I've definitely cut back the subreddits I'm on alot. I think on a deeper level, this is a reflection of ppl feeling more and more divided and the growing tension in everyone's lives.

Welcome to Reddit experience :ROFLMAO: . Don't worry too much about it, reddit is mostly AI playground now, you're not missing much. Just look at /r/AITH, posts are AI fanfiction, then AI commenters, then on them AI upvoters.

Not really scared of Reddit - used to be a good place for hentai, but now stands as a palace of mediocrity. A monument to mid, if you will. Even standing from a distance, you can hear it's inhabitants insane ramblings with relative clarity - a warning to all outsiders, 'stay away'.

I don't comment much but my promo posts on the adult game reddits and rule34 haven't received any hate for now.

Most of reddit is an echo chamber, you either agree with everyone there or they'll remove you.

Video in the link should thoroughly explain what Reddit (and most social media) really is:

Funny enough people have been far more pleasant in this site to me than in others I've used. I have gotten answers to every question I've had fairly quickly and even some friendly advice.

Sure there must be some bad apples, but I'm genuinely surprised at how quick people can be here to help, which is funny. If I tell people I had a better experience on a fucking porn site than on instagram or stuff I'll probably be looked at weird, because it's a porn site and that suddenly makes me a freakazoid. Yet you see comments on other sites and think "what the fuck is wrong with people?"

The "freaks" have been nicer than the "correct" people.

"reddit" is synonymous with "stupid people on the internet". What a fucking cancer that place is. I vowed years ago to never bother with reddit ever again, and I've never regretted it.
I'll tell you a secret, but smart people don't surf the Internet, especially on any forums where you can share your opinion.

I’ve always believed that as long as a person’s preferences don’t harm anyone or break the law, they shouldn’t be used to define their worth.

I’m just tired of fake perfection. I’d rather be real, even if that makes me look “weird” to the so-called normal ones.
