Regarding the flood of LifeSelector games

I post this here because I'm not really sure where else it should go. I honestly don't mean to be rude and I'm of course super grateful whenever anyone uploads anything, but...I mean, considering the sheer volume of these games, might it not be better if they were contained to one thread and that thread updated whenever a new game is released? It's gotten a bit ridiculous to check the new releases page every day and have to sift through five or six more new LifeSelector uploads to see if something more substantial has gotten released. Isn't this like making a new thread for each MeetNFuck flash thing? I'm just not sure it's merited and it makes browsing the games section a lot more mindnumbing.

Just wanted to thank you for posting this opinion here to generate conversation instead of complaining on the actual game threads.

Sincerely appreciate it.

I'm not a fan of the LifeSelector games at all either. I'd almost always just rather have the videos they take their clips from and forget the lame attempts at story and gaming elements. It's also kinda annoying that 3/4 of the front page of the game thread has been nothing but those games for a while now. Their volume is substantial enough that they probably deserve their own sub-forum at this point.

At this point there are 125 games and probably a fair few more on the way. Not saying they should go away, I know there are fans of them somehow, but it's worth considering giving them their own home. Gets them out of the way for those of us who don't care for them and gathers them in one convenient location for those who want them. Stuffing that many games in a single thread would be silly, but 125+ threads that share a theme does seem like justification for a sub-forum.

If only you could something do about something you don't like.

It may be a crazy though and revolutionary, but it's just something i heard through the grapevine in the last couple years.
You can ignore something you don't like and not click on it...... I know crazyyyyy:WutFace:
That way you don't have to deal with it and you can focus on what you like :eazyHype:

Every LifeSelector thread has [LifeSelector] in the name, so theoretically someone should be able to read and say.... I don't like it before clicking. i know that's very hard for some people.. to use logic...But it really isn't that hard :)

I'd suggest, for sorting purposes, especially when the new latest updates page goes live, that we add either a life selector tag or prefix. Also, @Sam, speaking of tags and prefixes on the latest updates page, would it be possible to have a check box added so we could exclude tags we want to hide?

like this.

CGI girls have become more enticing to me than real life porn girls...
Many porn women look overly used up, especially from eastern Europe and California.

I know I've figured out how to recompile my library of Life Selector games, some have repeated scenes which is annoying. I have refrained from uploading anything simply because of how many where already on here or how many are uploaded daily.
The last thing anyone wants is a wall of Life Selector games.

I want to contribute seeing as everyone's generosity is what makes this site so great. Heck I might start uploading comics seeing as a hand full I've seen are censored and I have the uncensored ones.

It says something about what people think of the lifeselector spam when the poster have to add a note to not comment on the thread if you don't like lifeselector, and police the thread deleting anything that questions the spam.

I tested ignoring the guy who posts them but that didn't hide the "games" in latest updates.

"If you don't like LifeSelector games don't comment, 95% of these games get requested by users!"

Well stop posting the other 5% then, atleast it would reduce the spam a little!!

Have you tried not playing the games? I know there are people who hate the Daz Ren'py VNs, but luckily the games are tagged so you can ignore them.

I haven't seen anyone say the "games" shouldn't exist, or be forbidden. The problem is the spam when there's 3-4-5 of them posted every day, and they take up half the screen when checking for latest updates. Every day.

Can you ignore 10 spam emails a day for penis enlargements and nigerian princes who wants to make you rich? Sure, but they would still annoy you.

Can you ignore a guy sitting behind you in the movies talking on his phone? Sure, but he would still annoy you.

Can you ignore a flood of fake games where someone took a porn movie from piratebay and spent an hour making a "game" from it? Sure, but they still annoy plenty of people.

Gather them in a single thread - problem solved.

Okay yeah, if @Sam could/were to pull that off, that would be pretty awesome.
+1 for the idea of integrating a tag exclusion filter on the new latest games alpha page.

So Life Selector games and the people who enjoy them are like spam emails and people who talk through the movie? Lol. Maybe they feel the same way about the games you enjoy.

Games are games. All new games are gathered in a single forum. Games.

I second this so much right about now.

(Please note, all this is how it is when writing this post, numbers may have changed since posting)

If you take a look at the first game page and sort them with newest release first, you have:
20 games per page
11 LifeSelector games

7 of the newest games are LifeSelector games posted today and yesterday. All of them have less than 10.000 views.
If we do give them the benefit of doubt that they could catch on, lats look at the last 5 LifeSelector games (also happen to be the 5 oldest games on the first page at the moment). They are:
-Your Little Nimphos - Friday - 20 likes - 14.034 views
-Your Step Siters business - Friday - 20 likes - 12.908 views
-The little sister - Friday - 19 likes - 16.244 views
-Sisters in Sin - Friday - 23 likes - 10.653 views

Cracking: The second Strain [v0.1.5] is a text based game, posted on Friday as well, and has more views (21.139) than any of those LifeSelector games. It does however only have 11 likes (similar to all the LifeSelector games)

My Sleeping Sister [TwoMan] is an typical Asian type of game, with Chinese/Japanese symbols, Censored, posted on Friday as well, with 33.543 views and 36 likes.

-----

Now, I'm not going to say that LifeSelector games do not deserve to be posted because they clearly have their audience, but please, either put them in a collection thread and update that, or throw them in a sub forum. Personally I would want the same to be done with SelectaCorp games, but that is a different topic.

Never said I have anything against people who enjoy things I don't. Those are 100% your words.

Not only that, but I also don't have anything against the existance of lifeselector "games". Only the way they are flooding the game updates section. I made a negative association between that spamming and various other occurances in life that many people find annoying.

The LifeSelector spam is definitely getting to be a bit much. I fully support putting them in their own thread. The numbers don't lie, very few people are engaging with those posts which means that very few people here actually enjoy or play them. Based on that knowledge alone, there's not really any reason they shouldn't be in a LifeSelector megathread.

Hell, putting them all in one giant megathread would actually make it way easier for the people who *do* enjoy those games to find all of them in one place. It stands to reason that if someone does enjoy those LifeSelector games, they're going to want to find more to play and if they're all in one thread that makes it mighty easy.

Failing a megathread, I would love to be able to exclude tags as Darth said above. That would be an awesome feature!

A single thread seems a bit restrictive but maybe we could have a lifeselector subforum in the popular games list? I know it's not one game but that seems like semantics.

Crust has run out of untranslated Russian 0.001s to post, ok.

Blame patreon's crackdown on mommy incest games for lifeselector spam if you really think about it.
