rejected report for update

When someone makes a post with update files, I usually report that post and choose "update" as option in the report window.

Usually then within a certain time the mods update the thread and I get a notification that my report was resolved.

Today I got this notification instead:

Unfortunately, your recent report has been rejected: Post in thread 'VN - Surrendering to My Crush [v1.31] [BolskanLewd]' - This is a piracy website we don't delete leaks.

I was under the impression that reporting update posts is the preferred way to let the mods know. Now I am not sure why my report was rejected.

Would be awesome, if a mod could clarify this.

someone made a mistake. if you indeed chose "update", the mod was too hasty and thought you reported the post wanting the delete the file

Yeah, seems like a simple human mistake. You can try again by saying "new version", although just selecting "Update" should be clear enough.

I usually leave the textbox empty. I just tick the "update". I am pretty sure I did it this time as well. Could also be an error on my part, but I am pretty sure i did.

I had a post deleted for "rule 7" --- and I was like, I didn't post loli! Then I realized they meant Rule 2.7 - not Rule 1.7. And I laughed.

I honestly never payed attention to that menu! Thx a lot for showing me. Good to know now how to talk to staff if needed.
