Hi,
I'm not a Moose today, how do we (tens if not hundreds & thousands of us) remove the christmas holiday theme ?

forcing a religious holiday based on a belief of christianity on people is not acceptable anywhere on earth.
including on the internet. (history dictates that it starts wars)

2. Avoid discussing controversial topics, eg religion and politics.

this religious theme is forcing religious discussion all over the site, talking about christianity is discussing a religious topic & thus breaking the site rules.

The end of the international year is a period of holiday and celebration, and there's no need to be Christian for this.
Some of my Muslims neighbours, as well as atheists, will gather with friends and family the 25 December. Obviously not to celebrate Christmas, but to share their happiness while the year is ending; choosing that day because, well, everyone else is already gathering and celebrating, so why not them?
And I guess that it's to enforce this diversity and happiness vision of that period, that Sam and F95 decided that starting this year they'll goes for more neutral symbols than last year Santa's hat.

Then, why are you doing it?

Yet, here you are, forcing religion into something that isn't religious. Worse, you're talking about Christianity and, therefore, fully discarding the fact that Jews are currently celebrating Hanukkah; to only name the most known religious celebration, apart Christmas, that happen in the second half of December.

Please point to the item that is christian-centric.
I see scarves, hats, stocking caps, and whoopee caps.
These are mostly things people wear because of the winter time (which it is, in the northern hemisphere where 87-90% of the world's population lives).
I do see antlers, as well - and these are more heathen than anything else.

On a related note, the "latest update" page f95 logo is still non-christmas. Totally unacceptable and I will not stand for this.

Somewhat related, just spent like 10 minutes searching for the javascript code that added the snow effect (it was distracting for me and I wanted to remove it), turns out it was just made with CSS. To remove the snow effect, add body::after and body::before to your preferred CSS filtering addon for the website.

Can't find an option in preferences to disable holiday themes. Thankfully BETA theme stops the 'snowing' at least. Moving elements makes it almost impossible for me to concentrate/read.

I like the subtlety in the game, it first plays what you expect Hell to sound like but then you realize that actually, considering how many people hate and find elevator music annoying that would probably be what would play there.
