Renpy animated scenes are not playing for me?

I'm not very well versed in this so i don't know if what i'm writing makes any sense. But when i try to play any Renpy games, none of the animated cutscenes play. its just a blank page and i have to just click to the next the screen and it goes to the still image. Some games i've tried are , mind society, Harem hotel, Dark magic and Corrupted kingdoms, none of which play any of the animated scenes. I used to be able to see them but now even when i look at my past saves of animated scenes its just a black screen. how do i fix this?
