Hey guys I have an issue where several games I try to play now just give me black screens and maybe some sound and nothing else. What is really throwing me through a loop is it affects some games and not others and it is really driving me up a wall. The issue only seems to affect some games and not others and I can't figure out why for the life of me why fresh downloads and installs aren't helping. I would greatly appreciate any help you fellow degenerates can provide.

Try a different renderer (Hold shift while opening the game, or press Shift + G after it launched).
You are a god send mate but now I want to know why this became an issue in the first place, have you got any ideas?
It seems like a driver issue without knowing more, by "now" it means it's a sudden issue, aka the same game before worked fine, and now it suddenly doesn't? Maybe the log would offer more information.

No need for the logs, he said that some games do it, others don't. So it's just version dependent and there's 99% chance that it's a question of drivers.
It depends, log still offers more information. It could be that he's using a laptop with a dedicated GPU, and then suddenly he's running them with integrated by mistake. but yeah, 99% it's a driver issue
