I assume your game directory is <<C:\CrashingGame>>.
Replace <<C:\CrashingGame>> with the correct path.
Try this:
- Open your Windows explorer and open the directory <<C:\CrashingGame>>\game\saves
- Remove the file "persistent". You can delete it, or for testing: rename also works.
- Click into the adress <<C:\CrashingGame>>\game\saves an replace it with "%appdata%\renpy" and hit the enter-key
There should be a list of almost all of your games using renpy.
- Look for a directory with a name similar to the game which is crashing. Maybe the timestamp can help.
- Remove the file "persistent". You can delete it, or for testing: rename also works.
This also removes your settings for this game along with the information for the gallery, if any.
If your game starts now, than this is the best way until someone provides us a tool for repairing the persistent-file.
