Renpy keyboard help

I'm on an s9 android phone.

It's pretty much any renpy game where i have to enter text. Sometimes the key that enters text turns into the one that makes a new line, and i can't enter text anymore. I don't know a reliabke way to get around this problem.

Any help?

the enter key changes it's appearance according the current context
but it seems a bit bugged
when i use a browser before a renpy game, the enter key still appears as magnifying glass when i have to input text in renpy
just hit it

Yeah, the virtual keyboard.

I encounter the bug where the magnifying glass turns into the next line prompt which won't let me enter the text. Like verifying the name of my character, or entering a password with virtual keyboard.
I can still type.

Sorry it's confusing wording things.

the <enter> key remains the <enter> key, only the picture is different, just use it regardless what picture is shown
or has pressing the key no effect?

As I've understood it, if he presses enter it just goes to a new line instead of "submitting" text to the prompt. Never heard of that before, didn't even know that you could enter multiple lines of text into a renpy prompt X_x

You can't put in extra lines. It just shows the key to do it.
Basically the key does nothing.

Well it depends on the ren'py version the creator used to create the game. There have been some problems with ren'pys android module that has been worked on. With the latest version most of the problems should be fixed, but I don't know if that was one of the problems. Was it always like this on your phone or just lately?

does this happen to custom input boxes placed somewhere on the screen or also to the standard ren'py input (looking much the same as the dialogue window)?

Well it looks like pytom "fixed" that issue in the latest ren'py version

well, then is probably your only hope, that new versions of affected games are compiled with the fixed ren'py sdk
