Tool - Ren'Py - Ren'Py Transparent Text Box Mod v2.6.4

Used it with Monkey Busininess and finaly no need to hit the H-key anymore!
It set the opacity to 0 and only the text was visible and clearly visible.

Love it!
It is easy to install, by C&P in the /game folder and works out of the box.

I use this with every single game I play (minus the few with mods that have this feature), I probably would have quit AVN's all together had this not been made, so from the bottom of my heart, THANK YOU.

I have tested this out on several games and so far have had complete success. I will still look to see if there is a game specific mod that does this first, but if that doesn't exist I have a perma-copy of your mod downloaded to serve as an emergency backup!

I am so bloody happy I cannot adequately describe it. Dialogue boxes have been the bane of my porn game existence for so long, so to suddenly find this by randomly scrolling some comments somewhere is just... stunning.

So far the mod has worked wonders, so no operational complaints, and I am not technical enough or Ren'Py knowledgeable enough to give you feedback on that aspect of the mod.

Holy shit, this is just... amazing. Honestly I have no idea why RenPy doesn't add the dialogue box transparency as a baseline option in the game. Your mod is proof that this is a needed feature, so thank you for finding a gap in the product and correcting it.

I will reach out if I find any bugs or note any games that it doesn't work on (unless they are the types specified in your post as not being likely to work, such as modified dialogue boxes).

Love this mod. I haven't been able to try it on all my games yet but so far so good. There are so many talented artists whose graphics get covered up by that annoying text box, so this is a great idea and a great solution. Well done @Penfold Mole!

I've been using this small add-on for some time now, tested it on many renpy games, and regardless of being used with newer or older ones, it worked almost flawlessly in all cases. The idea of removing large annoying colored text boxes and replacing it with transparent background is brilliant. I just can't imagine playing any renpy game without this add-on anymore. Many thanks to author for all his great work!

I just started playing Ren'Py games, and was immediately struck by how gigantic the text boxes were-in some games they seemed to completely obscure 20% of the screen, forcing me to constantly show/hide the UI-not an optimal solution. Using this simple mod really changes the games for the better. I have only tested it on 4 games on the Mac to date, but the font without background (the thin outline really helps) has so far worked great in all of them.
