Renryuu Ascension is an absolute 9/10
A fantastic RPG game with NSFW content
Story/Lore/Plot:
Like most RPGs, it is set in a "medieval" world of magic and swords, there are monsters, many races and a story that is much deeper than you would expect, but that story is only available to those who seek it.
The conflict that drives the story has a considerable weight within the world it presents, it makes sense and leaves no room for doubt as it develops. It hooks the player a lot, especially from its second half where everything starts to heat up more and more.
Characters:
It has many, many characters, all different, with their own stories and motivations, some deeper and more relevant and others more secondary that contribute to other stories.
There is something for everyone and as a good RPG that it is, the main cast is full of characters that fulfill different roles in a team of adventurers. All the characters in the main cast have their own development and while not all of them have a deep development and evolution, they are all really interesting and 3 in particular undergo changes that completely change the way you see them.
Gameplay:
It is an RPG, turn-based combat, skills, statistics, equipment, strategy. If you like RPGs then you will like the gameplay of this game, the team members fulfill different roles, from the classic tank, support, damage and magic to more complex characters to learn to use. There is a great variety of enemies, dungeons, challenges, bosses and even a game mode where you move units in a very fun army system, although it can become somewhat tedious.
From a certain point very early in the game you are given free rein to explore and there is much to do and see on a very extensive map that will only open up more as you advance. If all that seems little, you still have a resource management and administration system in which you can spend a very long time learning and experimenting.
There is a very wide range of activities.
Graphics:
It has its own art style although it also uses the style offered by RPGMaker itself, this is its only negative point and it is that this mix of various art styles is quite out of place. The rest of the game uses many resources offered by RPGMaker, this is not a negative thing, if you are used to RPGMaker then you will feel more comfortable with it.
Negative Aspects:
This is very subjective, but if you do not have the time to play, this game will feel tedious and slow.
