My main reason why I rated this so low is because of how unintuitive it is to play. 5 hours in and I give up and will look at a guide. A map or quest tracker would make this much better instead of having to find an NPC hidden away in a corner
Pros:
Pros:
- Game isn't afraid to experiment: The whole kingdom building aspect was fun, I liked that. But I have no clue what it's for because it's not the actual game.
- Consistent art: Not ai generated but hand drawn art. Static images which I'm not picky.
- Open world: You could be on a level 1 quest and take a wrong turn and you'll be facing level 20 mobs. Which you will do a lot if you play this without a guide. The entire map is open to explore right at the start. I like that, others don't
- Easy to get lost: With how many mechanics or people you have to talk to or places you have to go and with no map or ( ! ) markers...good luck
- Annoying RPGM movement in menus. The ones where you move the cursor with the arrow keys to select things.
- Everyone in the overworld look like they could be the MC. Its the default RPGM sprites, which makes it hard to know who is important especially since they're not marked
