Ren'Py - Abandoned - Research into Corruption [v0.6.10 Bugfix] [Fallen Angel Productions]

10 years ago, this would have been an amazing game. Hell, 5 years ago it would have been pretty damn good. But times have changed and better things have come (no pun intended). There is absolutely nothing wrong with this game - it is completely serviceable. The renders are dated but detailed. The characters are two-dimensional without being memorable. The storyline is not great, but at least it's not "mafia" or "monster hunting spies" or "my rich dad doesn't understand me" which immediately makes it in the upper tier of games on this site.

If you're a fan of old school fap games, this one is worth a go. But if you prefer more modern takes on, well, anything then this is a safe pass.

This game is very bad.

First the story is bad and rushed. MC wants to make a porn game but doesn´t know how to make the incest and corruption good, so he decices why not corrupt my family, in the beginning that shouldn´t be so rushed.

The Characters are very shallow and their models look often just bad.

The writing and dialog is awful and doesn´t feel human.

The sex scenes are okay and have good animations but the grind to get to them is too annoying.

The UI is very ugly and cheap looking.

The corruption doesn´t really work for me because you get for everything corruption points, for example if you help your sister with homework you get corruption points for her why? wouldn´t that be more like love points? that´s why most such corruption games have love and corruption points not only one, because it doesn´t make sense if you help someone or a just nice to them that you would corruption points, you don´t corrupt them you are nice.

But the worst part which absolutly drained every enjoyment out of me is that there is no music or sound , have at least have some music if everything is silent most things will drop in quality.

The game has sometimes good graphics, sometimes poor. It is the same for the renders. The characters look part good part bad. The story is almost nonexistent.

Maybe this adventure is a litle basic, but darker, dirtier and totally krankhaft too. Excellent both projects. You try to reach harder targets along the game. Very good story.

When diving into the ocean of smut, I try and be as honest as I can from what I dig up.

So, what do we have here? Really the classic formula for the corruption genre, which isn't a bad thing per se. The premise is simple, you're a dude trying to make it big as a game developer, but then the game dev market is hard, so instead you go onto trying to make an impact on faux-95/Falsetreon (dubbed ingame as just lewdsite). But alas, in H-Land, you don't understand how to corrupt and get the lewds, thus our hefty everyname protag goes on a lewd adventure to figure out what it means to corrupt. And that's about where the story ends. Pretty in touch with the fanbase as it's made by an F95 user for F95 users, and it shows.

What this game does, is give people what they want when going into an h-game but also keeping the classic h-formula around to not just give you the punchline from the get go. What that entails is corruption by repeating the same scenes over and over again until you get that nice snowball effect. Where at first your interactions with characters will be a slow climb to the top of lewd mountain, with visual (lewd) triggers showing that whoever you're trying to corrupt will start to respond accordingly, albeit a bit slowly, to your nefarious actions, until you finally get to a point where the avalanche hits and you get into poundtown. Usually I hate the grind as any other player who's been through that gauntlet more than once, but here it's not so bad since every scene never subtracts from the corruption, everything seems to add points no matter how hard you be pervin'.

The corruption is nice, the grind to get there not so much as it will take awhile, but it does feel rewarding.

Some drawbacks I've noticed is that the UI to conduct all of this is a bit jank and takes some getting used to. The wardrobe unlock system can also be cleaned up a bit to really highlight what you can buy (or more so what's available in the version) rather than the subtle orange outline you can barely notice at first. As when you see the outfit options, it seems as though you can buy nearly fifty of them with the image shown, but in reality only two exist from what I've played.

Overall a cobbled together but enjoyable experience, nothing top tier but for what it is, even in the hyper-niche genre of homegrown forum games, this one is pretty nice. It gives you build up, the content is hefty enough, and of course its free from the get go. A perfectly solid 4/5 for what it is even now at the current build (0.6.5).

all I can say is that this is great game so far and that I hope that you keep up the great work . hopefully there will be more content some time soon ! Maybe the m.c. can work with other charters rather than stay home all the time

The following review is based off my personal experience with playing this Game/Visual Novel... I try to be as brutally honest and detailed as I can, and these are my own opinions and thoughts, from one or more play throughs... The version this review is based on is v0.5.9...

I played this once before over a few months ago, and it has had a lot of fixes and updated stuff added to it... Just be aware it is yet another in a long line of Family Sex games, with barely any story elements at all...

The visuals of the characters are done pretty well, 3D models probably inspired by hentai... The backdrops are average in quality... The navigation is fairly easy to use, and although this is game is done using RPG Maker, it doesn't really use the sprite function for moving around... Which is a big thumbs up for me, because I'm not a fan of most RPGM games because of the sprite stuff... Reminds me too much of old Nintendo games, not that it's bad, but it is such an old system... The user interface works well... The biggest things visually in this game, are the dozens of lengthy and crisp looking animations...

The script, although pleasantly easy to read as well as proofread well, is mostly a lot of short dialogue/monologue that doesn't add any real story... This one is you're typical slightly grindy Corruption game model, involving characters from the male protagonists own family, a few friends, and a newer character that has no current interaction content, yet... The only story type elements involve each characters story line, as they become more corrupt, not any story of real substance or depth... There are no visual novel elements to this game at all... It is a game about corrupting characters to open up sex based content (aka pure porn game)... Plan to see much of the content over and over again, until you've reached the next level in a characters corruption... For now, the only characters I saw where corruption changed anything are the mother, the sister, and partially the aunt... The aunt is slow to corrupt for the moment, and the only changes you will see is how she dresses at home... But, this game is still in the middle of development, so expect to see and read more stuff for the aunt and other characters as it develops further... It does play on several sex fetishes, one being urine (which I always skipped watching, because ewwwww)...

Overall, the animations are done very well, higher quality than you see in most erotic visual novels/games (beyond sex simulator games, which I detest)... I wish there was a Non-Family option, because it so highly overused, and shows a lack of creativity... The game itself is grindy at times, but at least it warns you when you've reached the end of content in certain rooms... There is a slight RPG element added in the form of Diary Entries as you progress, but even those are not much in the way of meaningful story plot... This game isn't something I'ld prefer to be playing, but I can see a lot of work was put into it, especially since the last time I tried it out...

Plot per se is minimal in this production, animations are good but there is small difference between good and reall good. Difference is in details, like having sex on uneven or hard surface might be hot at first but when you do it then even the hottest moment will get cold or funny. So there should be animations with such clumsyness in our characters relationships. It will make them more lifelike and real. At the same time even more immersive. Sex scenes should have two options from which we see each scene, it will make this game two times harder to make but at the same time damn better. The relationship of mother/son/doughter dynamic should be changed to be more lifelike. What mother would be ok with her children having sex without protection?! I mean.. pregnancy happens. After pill is good alternative, but as a mother she should see or be in a situation when son cum inside her, her doughter then she realizes the possibility of having children.. then we have to use condoms or buy hormonal pils couse day after pill is harmful for the body of her young doughter etc. Make it real!! Dammit! At the same time it will be damn HOTTER game! I'don't know if it only bugs me but when I see male model with trunks or ther chloting on his legs but somehow a dick is poking out of it, it weirds me out! Female models are hot but at the lager stages of progress it should be possible to choose how they look, like with tan lines or without them, their lingerie or hairdo. THIS GAME HAS INCREDIBLE POTENTIAL!! I am damn serious when I said it. Unpolished dimond is good way to call it!
As fo relationship of doughter/mom/son it should be possible for either of them to bump into each other on daily basis in intimate moments. Like while having sex with sister on kitchen counter/table.. went in mother with drowsy eyes, she looks at you for a moment uncertein and like any other day went to fridge and makes for the whole family breakfast, all the while you are in your sister half naked. Those situations make games hot, not just sex per se!! Good luck making games!!

Really love how the story progress since day 1 in game, the animation is great, character models are astounding.
But is it just me or sometimes the game are like having lag while load the dialog box?

This game is great, Its models are good but above all the animation is fantastic, while the content is a bit lacking at the moment, It does progress at a steady pace, and the story flows nicely.

Other than a few nitpicks, I've only encountered one minor problem with the game, the user interface was a bit unintuitive, and took a few minutes of fidgeting about to figure out the whole thing.

A masterpiece of a game. its made in RPGM but you would never know it.

Pro: The animations are good, the corruption is not to slow(just right (IMO) , There is a Gloryhole with the bottom half of the female sticking out(as of .4 only sex you can have sex) and it has a lot of content.

Cons: It really needs a way to skip cut scenes. no way to look at past scenes or track your progress. everything takes a hour so time is limited(dose watching someone pee take as long as getting dry humphed in a tub?) No items to speed things up just outfits they try on dance in and are never seen again. The spy cams do not change based on corruption levels.

Still for as earily as the game is in development its 5 stars for me.

Putting this down as a 4 star for the moment because there is not yet much content. Despite the current lack of content, I like the looks of the models used and look forward to future updates. The use of animation with the spy cams is well executed IMO and look forward to seeing more implementation. Biggest gripe at the moment is that the game has a habit of crashing randomly. Save often.

One thing I can say about Boomer is he is trying to make a better game. I have worked hard with him as a Bug finder. He listens to his patrons and takes there suggestion to heart. I do not like The platform but the Boomer is trying. The main problem with the old game is it was getting off key and he was getting lots of complaints so hence the redo. There will be a lot better scenes and better flow with this game. Boomer does not share his images with me so can not elaborate but we do message daily. He is very upbeat and is working hard at Making a good playable game.
