VN - Ren'Py - Completed - Rick and Morty: Another Way Home [r4.2.1] [Night Mirror]

To be fair, you have to have a very high IQ to understand Rick and Morty: Another Way Home. This visual novel is peak. I came for the porn but stayed for the plot. All the characters are in-character. The writing and art style stay faithful to the show. I also like how the game incorporates events from the show.

The gameplay is linear. There are choices that change certain scenes, but they don't affect the overall plot.

Rick is barely in the story and serves more as a plot device.

Morticia best girl. I was salty when but I warmed up to her as the story progressed. Those hugging scenes made me feel something.

Sleeper hit Tricia. Didn't expect to like the chemistry between her and Morty.

My only complain is there is no sound effects or background music.

All in all, it's a great game/visual novel. Highly recommended, not only for Rick and Morty fans.

Wubba lubba dub-dub!

The opening was just to catch your eye. Rick here is actually quite of a jerk... yeah, even more than in TV series, but don't want to spoil it. Just don't worry, he won't cuck on MC or even participate in sex scenes.

It's a highly story driven game with vibe from best seasons of TV series. Lot of humor, sci-fi and weird shit. You're playing as a Morty, who's like an original Morty, but you can expect some progress and growing a spine, so don't worry, MC is not a lame pushover here, he's able to take matters in his own hands and I don't mean what you're now thinking about.

You could expect that this game is only about having fun, fucking and weird stories. Well, it's a big part of it, but you can't be more wrong. There are plenty of LIs and you'll be able to dig deep not only into the pussies (or asses, or whatever aliens have), but also the relationships. You'll share a lot of support and deep emotions with LIs and there's a very special character, Morticia, that gives extremely unique experience. But you need to check it by yourself.

Visuals and models are quite faithfully reproduced from the original and there are simple animations and a lot of face expressions, so it's a bare minimum I can expect. No voices and no cut scenes or high level animations, but for me that's not a problem.

I can honestly recommend this title for everyone who likes this universe. Everyone will find here something for itself and if you aren't into incest, monsters or some other deviations, I think they were all skippable, so you can focus on more vanilla relationships like with Trish or Jessica. That's definetely one of not many games I wish I could forget, so I can have this experience again.

Genuinely a great and fun R&M game. Great visuals, interesting plot lines, actually well written/translated (to English), overall would definitely recommend if you like Rick and Morty!

Might not be quite your fave if you prefer 3D graphics, but imo it has a great Summertime Saga vibe to it.

Just play the original version if you think this is too linear. This is a freaking port, what did you expect? Night mirror did great on what he sought out to do: a streamlined version of a slightly flawed sandbox.

Hi, well, first of all, thank you—really. The work you've done by taking the original game and turning it into a linear adventure instead of the tedious sandbox was more than the right call. (Not saying sandbox games are bad, but I honestly can't see this game any other way now that I've played both versions.)

I'm not sure how much of your own effort went into the base game (I haven’t read the full changelog yet, to be honest), but I can tell you've put in work that’s almost on par with being the original author. And what a fun game it is! It almost felt like I was revisiting the series. There were all kinds of moments—funny ones, moments that annoyed me, and even some that genuinely surprised me.

The way the characters and their personalities are portrayed is incredibly believable. Morticia’s character deserves a lot of credit here—she’s just as dirty or raunchy as Morty himself, because at the end of the day, she is one too! Hahaha.

Of course, there are characters I would’ve liked to see more of during gameplay (mainly to explore them further—and those who haven’t been used yet either. I mean, we’ve got 8 seasons of content and comics too, right? ). Who knows, maybe we’ll get to see more in future updates—it’ll just be a matter of being patient.

By the way, have you thought about maybe getting some help with the drawings or the animation for some scenes? I think I read somewhere that certain details were a bit tricky for you, like drawing hands, for example…

Anyway, I think I’ve rambled on long enough. Great game—I’ve really enjoyed it, honestly. If no one’s told you yet: You’re awesome!

By the way, adding a gallery of scenes or being able to repeat the days to change the options and results of certain scenarios with all the characters or being able to modify them to the player's liking is a great plus.

Finally, my English isn't very good, I'm helped by an AI or translator, so my apologies if there are any spelling mistakes (I was certainly able to play the game with a Spanish patch on this same forum)

(3/5) This is probably a biased opinion, but there is just linear, very little choice, and is really not my type of game. Kinda borign very quickly imo. I'd love to have more choices , a bit more sand box

the game is good with much variety of girls and situations. Sex scenes are interesting.

Also, you dont' need to know the show to enjoy the game, because it's well explained in the game who is who.

The only down point would be the "ending" : it seems that it's very rushed, as if what was explained in many events /hours of reading before is concluded within a short time.

Probably the best Rick and Morty game ever made (as an adult game). It's sad that it's finished. My love for Summer and the passion I feel for Beth wouldn't let me give it anything less than five stars. I wish it had lasted longer, but every beautiful thing must come to an end.

Rick and Morty: Another Way Home" starts strong, with engaging storytelling and humor true to the series. However, as the game progresses, the art quality becomes inconsistent and somewhat confusing. Despite this, it still delivers a fun experience for fans of the franchise.

Not really my thing but I was surprised that the writing was actually pretty funny and the art was quite good given the source material. Its clear the pacing is a bit off and sometimes the game feels a bit too drawn out, honestly I'd have liked to see a more frenetic pace but its alright. The other big thing I didn't like was the lack of choices, there are effectively none besides some sex stuff, still its a cute little game and I admire the effort.

Finally got around to finishing this after playing it years ago before it had a conclusion, and I'm happy to say that I thoroughly enjoyed it.

I've only watched a single episode of Rick and Morty, yet that didn't stop me from becoming so engrossed in the story this VN had to tell. The characters feel true to themselves, and even if you know almost nothing about the show like me, you'll eventually understand each character's personalities. As a whole, it stands out very well from other VNs, having so much variety with the amount of fetishes and character combinations, it just keeps going with new things to work with.

Big thanks to Ferdafs, Night Mirror, and everyone else that helped make this game. Every little bit went a long way.

A really fun game that takes the spirit of the original (naturally not to the same level...) and sexualizes it in many ways.

4 stars only because it's basically a kinetic novel where you only choose what sexual scene to see or not see (and even if you don't see it often the game considers it to have happened)

Overall I liked the game but dropped it after about 24 in-game days.
The scene became kind of repetitive and boring. The art style is as in the show, which for a H-game, is kind of bland and not "juicy" or sexy enough.
Some of the animations are good and some other which are just few static images.
The characters are true to their show characteristics and the game has a wide variety of characters to interact with.
It is a nice addition to add a skip button for every scene for people who doesn't like some fetishes or just not interested in some characters.
I think it is worth a try because it is easily seen how much investment went into creating the game. Kudos

I loved playing this, I laughed so hard, most of the references and other things are amazing, I loved it truly thanks for your effort. About the experience itself I know that the scale of the project doesn't allow it, but you can't reject other characters. All in all it was really good and funny, I hope you can do more and have a great time. I hope you have your days as interesting as I had mine while reading through this.

I love games that are on model. It is such a good concept. But sometimes the model they are going for does not lend itself well to porn. Rick and Morty is an ugly show, so I'm not a huge fan of this game's style. But I do have to commend how well it replicates it. 3/5

NTR Rating: Weak NTR, but it is not the focus of the game, so not a big deal.

So it is done. It was many years into the making but it had to come to an end eventually and what a ride it was. I enjoyed every moment of it. For a long time this was the only game I had been following and the main reason I bothered to create an account in the first place.

It's hard to put into words exactly just how much I loved this game, but I can at least start it off with the best part. The writing. Night Mirror has stated many times that writing isn't really his strong suit, but I honestly think he doesn't give himself enough credit. While the art was another amazing part of the game, the writing was honestly the best part about the game for me because it made the whole experience feel authentic. Not only were all the characters acting like they would have in the show, but they also reacted to situations in a way that felt real.

A good example of what I am referring to are the Beth and Summer arcs. They could have just wrote them off as just being super lewd and slutty and just jumping Morty's bones constantly, or just excepting Morty's incest behavior super quickly in order to jump straight to the scenes, and I'm sure some people probably would have wanted it that way. But what we got was so much better for myself personally from a story telling stand point.

Both Beth and Summer react to the situations like they should have as Morty's mother and sister. Beth is contently trying to get Morty to stop chasing her and beating herself up for thinking she's not being a good parental figure, and Summer being extremely resistant to Morty's advances due to them being related. These are the kind of reactions I would expect a family to have to these situations and for it to take a lot of time and build up in order to get past all of that.

My favorite character has always been Morticia though. Because she's just a female version of Morty, she's just as horny as he is and is very open minded and down to earth. As well as very brave and caring to those around her. She was the most fun character hands down.

The cherry on the Sunday for me when it came to both Morty and Morticia is that this particular version of Morty had is Foot Fetish, and since he had it and Morticia is just another very of him, she was very quickly receptive to the idea and open minded about it. Nothing makes me happier than a truly open minded individual. Morty's Foot Fetish was mostly a tool to get some extra prods in at his expense and some extra foot scenes, but it didn't need to take center stage and I'm kind of glad it didn't. How it was implemented here was very satisfactory without overstaying it's welcome.

It's a shame, a real shame the story had to end where it was. I'm sure most everyone (including Night Mirror himself) was not ready for it to end the way it did. In a perfect world, Ferdafs would come back, and he and Night Mirror could consider teaming up. Ferdaf's art and Night Mirror's writing style to create the ultimate Rick and Morty experience, but sadly it was just not meant to be (Don't worry Night Mirror I know that's not what you want. Just saying).

Still though, I am grateful Night Mirror went well out of his way to give this game an ending it deserved and didn't leave it to rot like so many other projects on this platform even if it wasn't as satisfactory as it could have been to many including himself. What matters is that it got an ending. So once again, thank you Night Mirror and everyone else that pitched in to help for all your hard work. I wish you all the best in any and all future endeavors. I am going to be keeping this game on my favorites list for all eternity so that if you ever feel like adding anything more to the game or if Ferdafs ever comes back, I'll be one of the first to know.

One of the greatest games released on this site. I'm planning on keeping a copy on my machine for safe keeping so that i will forever have this work of art available to me later in life no matter what happens to this site.

I am not a huge fan of the show, i've seen several seasons way back many years ago, i don't like the artstyle really, i went in with lowest expectations possible thinking that the high rating is a result of a rabid fanbase clicking 5 stars on everything related they see.

I was happy to be proven wrong.

Writing is surprisingly great and faithful to the show, characters are faithfully portrayed and stay within their personalities and roles, it's a fun and decently interesting read, the amount of content is absolutely monstrous, it got a ton of QOL things (like picking your age, the way you see certain characters, to do it inside or outside e.t.c.), there is an option to skip any scene you aren't comfortable with, even the artstyle grew on me. If you like a heavy incest/harem type of game, that is absolutely something to experience.

There were couple detractors from experience however, first of all is a complete lack of sound. I am used to it but in a game of such otherwise immaculate quality this is something that stands out like a sore thumb and bring it a little bit down. Another thing that got on my nerves is characters often doing the same routine as previous sexual interactions, which is especially notable in Beth and Summer. You would think after first 7-8 times they would act at least a bit differently.

The main dissapointment however is how many secondary threads and characters are just completely abandoned. For good 90% of secondary characters you see just several times you keep thinking "alright, there is one last defining scene left, i can't wait for it", but it just never comes. Nancy, Gazorp people, Frank's mom, Vindicators, Reka, horse princess and many others feel like their stories are simply unfinished, their potential pregnancy never pays off (hell it doesn't pay off even for main cast), and overall the game just doesn't feel... finished. It just really need to tie a bow on everyone involved in one good perfect epilogue and it will be a rare geniune 5/5 game that actually deserves it. But it doesn't have this epilogue yet, so here we are.


Other than that it's a truly unexpected display of care, quality and passion that shines in almost everything it set out to do. So if you approach this with caution because you are not familiar with source material or doubt this is good, tis good.

There is a lot I could say about this. Too much really. So much that I'll say less instead.

Firstly, it is *heavy* on incest. And then rape, but all rape was optional. So, ya know. Save scummers paradise.
Pretty much every single sexual interaction was optional, which was neat. Naturally I said yes to everything.

There were some really arousing scenarios, for me. The blue anthro people with the generational bit was right up my alley, though not because they were blue anthros. Everything else about that was great, and I wish there were more stories like that.

There was so much content too. Most games/VNs I finish in one night. This one, 3. Lonnnng but good.

The only complaint I have is I wish there was more stomach bulge, as there were numerous scenes it would be fitting, and there was not pregnancy shown for the ending which I find lame.

5/5 game. If you don't like incest though, probably not nearly as interesting.

This game, is one of the best Ive played. the mechanics are good and the format is enjoyable. The characters stay true to there roles and the script is enjoyable. Thank you for the work displayed. I liked playing this game
