Wait, what the fuck? How many locations are in this game? I can have animated sex with multiple girls, I can just... talk with them, and they react to the recent events. My decisions affect cities and lives of people. This shit is immersive. I can even... choose the humiliation for my NPC alter-ego here. Well, this part is fucked up, but...

No, you can't be serious. You can't be winning! I spent a week in here, the content still is not ending! The plot is appealing. The world design is interesting. But this is impossible! You can't do stuff like that in a fucking RPG Maker! No! I refuse to believe! No!!!


This game is worth playing, 10/10.
You can get the idea of what's going on here in the first 15 minutes, and if you dislike it, no time has lost.
But if you play more, it expands enormously and unexpectedly.
I am not sure if I can call it a review. But I do recommend it.
There's no NTR for MC.

It'd be extra cool to have more lines of dialogues with girls in different locations, like meeting room, etc. I just liked the broken girls pretty much, and wished for more possible "side" interactions.

p.s. there are complains about similar looks of the girls, on them I have to disagree. Hikari was a pleasant surprise!

The story is fairly engaging for a porn game, with unique characters, and good sidequests. The best part of the game is the slow corruption and degradation of the heroines.

One downside is that after the girls are corrupted, they all look way to similar to each other. They all have bright hair, generic anime succubus outfits, with demonic wings and horns. Their personalities also blend together. The only one that stands out was the princess, mostly because you can encourage a rivalry between her and her mother.

The best thing about the game is that it does feel like my choices matter, and that there are unique events that happen because of my choices. The best example is what to do with the hero. Do you just surrender him to the demon queen or corrupt him before doing so? The relationship between the queen and her daughter are another example.

Overall, I would say this game should be 4 stars; however, the developer has been doing a good job releasing consistent updates with plenty of content, which bumps up my review of it.

One of those games that just kept giving.
Went into this without really expecting a whole lot of content since it still looks like an early release but it really just kept going.
The writing's pretty good, I'm not going to fault any flaws in world building or anything similar. Game has a solid corruption system, great animations and scenes, and the pace is pretty good.

Don't play this game for the combat. It's not designed to be a super fun jRPG to play, there's a bit of grinding that can be annoying but it's not killer. Can cheat if you so choose to.

If you're interested in mind control or corruption there's scarcely a better game to play than rise of corruption. The game focuses heavily on its kink and goes hard. There's already a lot of content and the Dev has set themselves an ambitious goal where each character and location plays an important role in the story. 5/5 must play for anyone who enjoys mc.

Rise of Corruption is a game where you take the mantle of a dead Dark Lord, and in the course of attaining your goal of world conquest corrupt several women into becoming eager and willing members of your harem. If you're looking for in-depth scenes with a variety of women where you get insight into the gradual break down of their mental resistance through your powers of corruption and pleasure, this will be right up your alley. If you are utterly uninterested in that kind of psychoanalysis served alongside your art of naked women, then this may not be the game for you. The game's development is still in progress, and appears to be about 30% done at the moment. The developer is very communicative and posts regular status updates, and the game itself gets updated about once every 4-6 weeks on average.

The main focus of the game is of course, corruption. Each woman you capture has 4-5 stages (depending on how you define "stage") where you use your power of corruption to gradually convert them from steadfast enemies to devoted slaves who view nothing better in life than serving your every whim. You get to see them struggle with initially unwanted feelings of lust, pleasure, and loyalty to the MC, until they eventually become eager to serve you. Once they give in completely, your power of corruption lets you irreversibly transform them into loyal succubus slaves (with more ideal body proportions than they originally had) who are incapable of even thinking disloyal thoughts. Mind break is not really a thing in this game, at least not in any permanent form, instead corruption is more of a supernatural form of forceful persuasion. Most of the harem end up having similar personalities to what they had before you corrupted them, except that serving you is their ultimate goal in everything they do; their personalities mostly shine through in what they interpret as the best way to serve you.

The art of the game is decent (for Koikatsu) but nothing special. This may change in the future as the Developer has said they are looking into a better art solution that will also increase the variety of scenes. The animations can be hit or miss, with earlier ones in particular sometimes being kinda bad, but the still picture art tends to always be good and in my opinion is generally superior to the animation due to the greater expressiveness shown by the characters in them.

Gameplay is RPGMaker and all that entails. Early game can unfortunately be quite a slog, particularly before you properly attain your first harem member, but pacing beyond that is notably better. It is possible to skip most of the actual gameplay if you have no interest in it provided you are a patreon/subscribestar supporter of the appropriate tier, but I view that as a waste seeing as the plot of the game is actually pretty decent. Combat is fairly simplistic and you can mostly win by facerolling after you become the Dark Lord proper, with only one exception so far. Combat is apparently going to get a rework at some point, so that may improve to be a little more fun eventually.

The plot of the game and particularly the world-building are actually fairly detailed with meaningful choices sprinkled throughout. While there are very few "fail choices" (outside some extremely obvious ones early on), and you will be able to reach the end pretty much no matter what, several choices you can make have fairly interesting consequences and change certain aspects of characters and/or the world. The history of the world is fairly lengthy, with many events having taken place hundreds or thousands of years ago that still having impacts seen during the time of the game. The dev does have a character which can provides the PC with several optional lore dumps, I recommend diving into them.

The main character is unquestionably evil, but you are given several options to either embrace your evil nature, or temper it in favor of a more pragmatic approach which cares about good PR and sees the value in having a happy populace to ensure loyalty. I would not be surprised if by the end of the game you have the option of being only barely worse than any of the "good" factions, but there is still plenty of room to be a more traditionally evil Dark Lord if that is your thing.

All in all I would probably give this game a 4.5/5, with the main weakness being in the early gameplay and combats, as well as some of the earlier animations, and the fact that it uses Koikatsu (which the developer does make surprisingly good use of, FWIW). I round this up to a 5 because I have yet to find any other game that scratches the corruption/brainwashing itch quite like this one does, and the dev does a great job ensuring the most important part of the game (each character's corruption route) has all the attention it deserves.

Great concepts, decent writing and plot, the girls are ok (except all the corrupted girls wear the same outfits and look super similar except for the hair colors). HOWEVER, the game is simply broken. It is absolutely filled with bugs, often game breaking. The quest log randomly stops working at a certain point and you can't "complete" the quests and it never updates with the new quests and content so you are basically shit out of luck and have to wing it on your own. I've also had bugs where the game just straight up freezes mid dialogue, though the dev helped fix that issue. However, then another game breaking bug happens where you get stuck in event loops. The game simply is a buggy broken mess, maybe it will get fixed when the game gets closer to being finished but right now it's borderline unplayable. Even your saves aren't safe because some of the saves you make don't get saved. If you really want to risk your time trying to play through the game for the decent content, be aware that you will likely become extremely frustrated at the buggy mess.

Let me start out by saying that if The Last Sovereign or Noblesse Oblige scratches an itch for you this will as well, though not quite as thoroughly as those two games might. Even still this is definitely worth your time.

The game follows the plot of a world where 3 powers are constantly in competition with each other for domination, and one of those powers recently capitulated via death. You are the heir to that power, and will establish your domain as the new Dark Lord.

The game focuses heavily on sexual domination and corruption to bring people who would normally rebel against you to your side to enact your vision of the world. The world itself has a decent amount of lore for those interested, and the world building is pretty creative so far. It follows certain fantasy tropes but makes very good use of them to create an interesting and thought provoking experience.

Some games suffer from the issue of the LI's (or corrupted bimbos in this case) blending together and being indistinguishable. This game avoids that, with the characters having their own interests, goals, and reasons for joining you that are realistic. Even after their conversion, while they may look similar they do retain their interests and goals, they are just now combined with their new priorities in your service. This is further demonstrated as the game progresses, and the dev has stated he has plans to include new scenes further making the girls stand out from each other and showcase their corrupted personalities to bring even more life to them.

The mechanics are pretty straightforward RPGM turn based fights, and the journal is kinda broken at the moment so it helps to pay attention to what's going on.

The sex scenes are mostly animated, and it seems like in the past they were going to be static CG's, and most scenes now are short animations, with the rest of the older content being updated in the next patch.

All in all I found this to be a very enjoyable experience. The story is compelling, the characters (not just the harem members) are interesting and varied, and there is a variety of choices given to you later on how you want to rule and be seen by the common man making it feel like this burgeoning empire is really yours. This game is certainly worth following and even my miserly self was persuaded to part with some money to support him in his endeavors.

So after all this why did I only give it 4 stars? While it scratches a lot of itches like being a pragmatically evil protagonist, it's amateurish in some ways. The motivations and story could be better fleshed out, the animations are 5 second loops, and the loop itself is a little jarring to watch sometimes. Some plot points in the story don't impact as well as they could, and some of the characters are just downright forgettable. I chalk most of these things up to this being the devs first game, and hopefully he will continue to improve and not rest on his laurels.

I certainly hope the dev continues to hone his craft, because he shows a lot of promise and I will be happy to upgrade this to 5 stars in the future. While the game is not currently at the level of The Last Sovereign in terms of writing, it surpasses it in other ways. In time, this game could be just as good if not better.

P.S. I have no idea if the dev is a man or woman, I'm just assuming male.

I love the corruption aspect of the game and the story is interesting with a lot of different players struggling for control. It's fun.

What really makes this a 3 or barely 4* game for me, is the awful first person H scenes which are bland and look really goofy. Given that there's some focus on that in a game like this, it's a major downside.

Beyond that, it has the usualy issues of all RPGM games. Big empty maps and a quest log that is unhelpful more often than not. Meh.

This in its current state is containing both aspect that I really enjoy. The subtle mind f*ckery of Nano Machine and the lite version of conquest system from TLS. Both of those are my favorite. The art is normal but the story really intriguing and doesn't really deserve the low review it got.

Normally I would write a review as objective as possible so that whoever reads it can more or less have a previous vision of the game. But that would not be suitable for this game.

When I saw it and in its description I read "While there is combat, that is not the focus of the game." my first thought was "This will be the typical Ren'py game that is more of a porn gallery with text in between than a game as such, but made in RPGM, which is even worse." In short, I did not have good expectations of the game.

Although in a certain sense my prejudice is true... I was also surprised by how everything develops, because it gives me the air of a management and military strategy game.

Conquering cities and towns, managing them to maintain a certain level of submission and happiness and thus avoid rebellions, fighting against monster leaders to add their races to your army, decisions that have importance in the development of the story.
Everything I mentioned is in the game... but as something basic and undeveloped, with more focus on the story and the porn content.

I don't know what path the developer will take to advance the game, but intentionally or accidentally he laid a good foundation for a very fun strategy game. If he goes that route this will be another one of those games that is fun on its own, but also has porn content.

And if he doesn't and keeps the game simple so that the central focus is the porn, that's fine too, it's his vision and his project in the end.

I'm not one to rate many games - but this one really surprised me, and catered to my tastes a lot more than I had anticipated. I love hypnosis and corruption, but I feel so few truly do it correctly, nor understand its appeal past the surface-level. This game certainly gets it.

You get to watch each character shift from an unwilling participant to an obsessed slave - I think it's done very well, and I was very surprised just how big the game was - far larger than you might think not knowing what this game is. You get to see each character go through five stages of corruption, it's very satisfying, and the number of girls are pretty high (more than the initial 3 might have you suspect)

I honestly felt all the characters were hottest when they were outside of their demon form and still had room to be corrupted, but that's just the name of the game. My only real gripe is that, past a certain threshold in the game, it gets very fetchquest-heavy for a bit - with not much in the way of lewdness, etc, to fill in the gap - I do think at that point, the game will have hooked you, and you still have a lot of corruption scenes to see prior, but I wasn't a huge fan of that segment. Otherwise, it's amazing.

I'm not a fan of Koikatsu, I think their faces are really weird, although I found the girls in this game very cute, I like girls with long, colorful hair, succubus, with horns, but Koikatsu's rendering is below average, very simple, and with standard animations, or sometimes no animation at all in the scene, with repetitive dialogues during sex scenes, "aah yes the master's dick, I have to make the master cum, aaah" something like that and during several and several lines of dialogue,

But one of the things that discouraged me the most and made me skip most or almost all of the sex scenes is the fact that the MC is invisible during the sex scene, and there is only the MC's dick floating in the scene as if it were a flying dildo...
What if the MC wants to kiss a girl? What if he wants to grab her breasts and suck them? What if he wants to do other KINK... But since the only thing that exists of the MC is the flying dildo... then it will always be standard sex... Either the girl sucks the MC, or he sticks it in the girl and that's it, the scene is over... without even having anything special...

there is no romance... all the girls have their own personality and are different from each other before being corrupted, and different reasons to fight, different motivations... but after being corrupted... all the girls are a CTRL + C and CTRL + V from each other, they are all like "aah it's your duty to worship the master's dick, and make him feel good" and they don't have their own dialogues... there is no romance... there is no motivation... there is no attachment for the player to get attached to the characters and care about them... the game simply doesn't give you a reason for that... the MC is too generic for that and the girls are too lifeless for that.

The best thing about the game is the girls' looks and the medieval theme, with succubus and demons... but even so... for those like me who aren't fans of Koikatsu... the game should make up for it more in other aspects... like depth in the characters or story... but it fails in that... and it's hard to find reasons to continue the gameplay…

and when the buggy missions start that the player completes but never disappear from the mission list... or missions that the game barely gives you a hint of where to start or look for... or tedious fights with no reason to fight... or incentives to make the player want to fight...
for example... in RPGs, whenever the player is going to fight someone or a boss, he fights thinking about the reward later... or gaining the feelings of a character (like saving a princess and winning her love), or a cool weapon... or a new power... but here... nothing but XP.

and it didn't take long to get to the end of the content and the character himself in the game asking the player for a patreon... very anticlimactic...

I think it's a game with potential... but made without care or affection... if you're going to play for the sex scenes, I recommend skipping this game... but if you're going to play to pass the time and for the story... maybe it's worth it... without expecting much... the game will make you invest a lot of your time... and most of it walking around the map from one side to the other... without motivation.

Dayum, I really-really love this game's beginning and its simplicity. The part with the succubus queen is short and straight to the point, there's a lil bit of humour, two other girls routes are... okay? And then the game expands further to the part for which I'm not sure the game itself knows what's becoming out of it. And some quests are just impossible to complete.

So, why 4/5? I like this game, I don't like its current direction. Based on other reviews, it's IMPOSSIBLE to please everyone. I just wish author would focus on depth rather than on breadth. More interactions with already established heroines, more randomized chat responds, more scenes, maybe subquests that are not tied to the main quest. Maybe even more info about the hero, it's strange when there's no bad feelings towards someone the game prompts you to... beat and torture, yea.

I just finish the Duke's Rival quest in Vlester, and I still not see any place to farm exp or equipment for Yukako and Rina after I corrupted them, I really happy if this game have some dungeon or labyrinth for farm in future

I don't understand the 2 star ratings, this game is pretty enjoyable for me, perhaps they live a stressful life that both fetching irl and in game causes them to agitate XD. Game is good, there is no single bug, art is good but girls are pretty similar looking. Corruption is HOT, especially after encountering erina. Plot is also good. It's honestly pretty forgettable at this point (0.2.7).

It wasn't kidding when it said "combat" wasn't the focus, by combat meaning any kind of gameplay or meaningful interactions. Aside from the very start of the game It's just a series of brainless fetch questing with no real purpose. There is nothing there to draw out any kind of interest in the characters or their situation. I hope that makes sense, your mileage will probably vary - if you didn't want any gameplay why would you play a porn game?

Every once in awhile It throws what seems like a decision that could impact the plot, but as far as I can tell none of them do.

So all that is really left is a very generic system of watching whatever scenes if you feel like it (optional), "advancing corruption", rinse and repeating. The content itself isn't terrible, but you've already read them countless times if you've been around F95 for a while. Art consists of generic screenshots from illusion games so you've seen those too.

I will focus on how badly the corruption theme of this game is. So, i will shortly give my comments on other parts of the game.

The world design is bad, being the most barebones and generic RPG world you could do, principally with the use of the overused default assets from RPGM.

The combat is just filler, just there to pad your time, because there is no challenge or any type of strategy, and thank god, because it would be more annoying than it already is.

The story, surprisingly is the good part of the bunch, being the reason of why it is 2 stars instead of 1, i It's not incredibly good, but it's good enough to be entertaining, if you ignore the main female characters...

The worst part and probably the worst mistake you could do in this type of game is the corruption and the female characters. The only thing i could compliment, is the models they are simple but well made and have good designs but only initially. The characters and the story are somewhat good, you have different personalities for each heroine, and each one of them have their own objectives and opinions about the world and the others, however, when we talk about the girls, is the worst, as i said, each one of them are unique, but after you corrupt them, they just turn into nothing characters. We can start with Misaki, i didn't have a problem with her since she's the first one you corrupt, she turns into a mindless slut, extremely devoted to you, but, since she's the first corrupted heroine, i didn't see a problem with her change... But then, the other girls get corrupted. Initially, the nun and the warrior have their own personality, the nun having a more gentle and forgiving nature, and the warrior being more of a brute, however, when you corrupt them, they simply just turn into Misaki, and i'm not exaggerating, they just turn into a different tone of pink version of Misaki, losing any defining traits of them, even losing the unique clothes they had to generic succubus clothes that Misaki uses as well, i think even the body gets pretty close or even the same as Misaki. And that's the problem, every unique feature of any girl is lost, turning every woman you corrupt into an generic character, you can like having girls turned into mindless sluts, but this is too much, to the point of they losing any importance to the story or not even being some type of reward to the player, just boring characters with no story and reason to be there.

The final thing i should review is the sex scenes, they are good enough, but they get old fast, is the same poses for every action for each girl, and the dialogue is just noise, nothing good or sexy, just bad.

To end this, Dev, i really think you can improve and learn from this project, i reviewed this rather harshly, but it's not me trying to be an asshole, instead, this is a genuine review.

TLDR: I really enjoyed the corruption/trainer style of the game and interaction among the harem members. Gameplay is very very ez rpgm combat and fetch quests to progress. Very excited to see the final product!!

The kind of corruption where a girl gives in of her own free will after experiencing pleasure just hits so well. Also girl later helps MC to corrupt the rest of the party members and other people. The corruption "mechanic" is in the form of a trainer. The mind control is a kind of (fantasy esque) drugged up coercion

The fights are not very interactive (although I don't think that's the point of the game). After you get to level 3 you get a stun ability. After a few more levels you get an attack which one shots everyone. If not you just stun lock.

Other side progression is in the form of tedious fetch quests across the world map... that I for some reason found fun (idk why).

One other thing I found really interesting is the freedom to go slightly different routes which have ambiguous consequences (probably because it's so early in the branches). For example, you can kill a skeleton subordinate who would stop orcs from raiding supplies and upsetting the peace or something.

To put in in few simple senteces, Rise of Corruption is RPGMV made game with mix of graphics generated in Koikatsu. It's not another generic crap game made with it, yet not enough to be called good. What you see on the screenshots in the main post of the topic is what you get alongside worst parts of RPG made game, which is basically boring gameplay of poorly designed rooms and mindless, repetitive combat.

Story is simple and linear. There is really not much to write about it as it's only but an excuse, to put things into motion. Oportunist MC is getting ahold of previous Dark Lord power and is using it to re-launch his quest of world domination to gain power, wealth and women, but divine powers are supporting people and are trying to stop us, so we need to conquer. It's more about the stories of the world. But while many are logical, even if sometimes dumb, and nicely explained sometimes, they are also simple and, in my opinion, too short. Before you can notice you're basically controling a nation, yet know very little about it and can interact with it even less.

Characters, to my suprise, actually do exist... Like, for example, your General or enemy General. Sadly, some characters, rather important in my opinion, exist only to a certain point. And I mean the girls. Until you corrupt them they have some form of personalities, they struggle with thier believes. After the corruption they turn into MC's cock-worshiping smillar looking succubi with little to no personalities, but only a little quirks by which you can distinguish them.

There is really not much to tell about the graphics. Girls and sex scenes were made by using Koikatsu. If someone doesn't like the anime/comic style then it won't like the game. As for the RPGMMV part, those are simply the most basic tilesets used and overused so much people are actually throwing up by simply looking at them, due to developers simply not having even an idea how to actually use them.

Sadly, design of the game basically sucks as developer of Rise of Corruption is making the same mistake as many others while using RPG Maker, which is creating too big, ugly and boring maps of interiors and exteriors. It's not a problem of using basic RTP tiles, but lack of planning.

Also I find girls having intercourse with "flying dick" more funny than arousing. Especially if MC's skin tone is almost if not the same as those of girls, which really ain't helping with finding it on the screen sometimes during sex.

And while about sex. It is also hard to actually watch those scenes, due to dialogue box with SPAM of "I NEED CUM/COCK, FUCK ME! YES, CUMMING!" simply obsucing the view on the action.

I would give it 3,5 out of 5. But only due to the fact I know how much time and effort is needed to actually work with RPG Maker and Koikatsu.
Sadly, there is no option to give 0,5. So I'm rating it as 3.
