Hi, everyone! Well, August is behind us, and in fact, given how late I am in writing this "end-of-month" summary, half of September is almost over. What's more, my posts have become very sparse, and contrary to my promise, Chapter 10 is nowhere to be found.
I sincerely apologize for this. This was not my intention, I truly believed I could do it, but unfortunately I greatly underestimated the amount of work that remained. There are countless errors, the production of the animations is taking longer than expected, and the Miranda storyline is a complete disaster. At some point over the years, I changed my concept for it, but I didn't adjust the code, so now it's a huge mess. I tried to fix it, but in the end I decided to rebuild her story line from scratch. Of course, this doesn't mean that I'm redoing the whole thing; the text and thousands of rendered images will remain, I'm just rewriting the program code so that the scenes and images follow in the right order. Because, for example, now it happened that Miri was on the trip with Ashley and Rick, and then in the next scene she was on the island with Cora. And she only has a twin sister, she doesn't have a clone. That Distant Horizon... oops... spoiler.
Partly, I simply forgot to post because I was so busy with work. The days just fly by, and I don't even notice them, they blend together so much. I only noticed today because I turned 40, but if it weren't for the flood of birthday wishes, this day would have slipped by unnoticed too.
And partly because there isn't much interesting to share about coding, translation, and animation. But this month, I'll try to post more so you can see that I haven't left, I haven't abandoned gaming. And as always, feel free to contact me on Discord or here, or even on the F95Zone forum if you have any questions or just want to scold me for being such a goofball.
So, I apologize for disappointing you again. I completely understand if you have lost faith in me; after so many promises and so much time, I wouldn't trust myself either. I hope that in time, once I finish Chapter 10, I will be able to regain your trust. In any case, this chapter is a serious learning experience. So I'm not making any promises right now, I'll see how I progress. The animations are coming along at a good pace, there are just a lot of them. And now Miranda's section is working better than before. So I'm making progress, just not at a good speed. But that's how it is, I cooked this up, now I have to eat it.
