VN - Ren'Py - Completed - Rising Bliss [v1.0.2] [Studio Mystic]

Just found this game. Already a good amount of content, but plenty of room to grow. Can't wait to see more chapters. The writing is just *chefs kiss*! You can tell this guy knows how to build characters up and give them realistic dialogue. Noticed a few spelling mistakes, but I'm sure that'll get fixed up. All the women are hot. Especially the blonde stuck up one. Can't wait to see what her and the main guy get up to. Studio is a solid addition to the game as well. Don't know what else to say, so I'll leave it in your hands. Download it. Try it out. Run away if you dislike NTR, but keep your hands inside the roller coaster because it's about to be a wild ride.

TLDR: The story is interesting, but game design and over the top nonsense brake the lore.

The good: The story is interesting, the cast is varied and the slow burn moral corruption could be really interesting.

The bad: The choice system and the bad end, actually do not match the story. What I mean by that? Government want people to have sex and have children right? Than why every time we have sex with a girl it a Game Over...? Was it not exactly what they want peoples to do? But in fact, you both get condemned to be a meat toilet for ever...

Let's talk about the meat toilet thing... I have nothing against this fetish, but in that case, this is totally over the top! So how it's work, if a student refuse to follow the rules, he/she get change into a meat toilet, not for a couple hours, not for a day or even a week, no, FOR EVER!

It's simple, not a single student would manage to get is diploma,
Could you imagine finishing school without a single misstep? I can't. So for me this is so overkill that it break the immersion...

I can agree with everything else, but the meat toilet part needs to be edited to make sense in-game. A few days might make sense, but more than that, you must have done something really awful.

Rising Bliss is a VN where you play as your typical Japanese schoolboy in a world of lust gone mad. While the game isn’t there yet, it seems the target is lust zombies and just everyone getting fucked by everyone. If that's what you're into, you might enjoy yourself here.

The game is a VN with choices, but the choices don’t matter at all. Every wrong choice currently leads to a bad end, of which there are two. Honestly, I’m a little baffled why the dev bothered with choices at all since there seem to be no stats and no routes. The bad ends are short and very predictable as well. As of patch 3.5, the choices which lead to bad ends are optional. There are occasionally still choices to opt into different scenes, though they all bottleneck so far. While better than before, it's still essentially a kinetic novel and...

The story has generally struck me as weird so far. I can’t figure out whether I’m supposed to be laughing or horrified and it seems like the characters can’t either. This feels really inappropriate as the amount of sexual harassment in the story so far is already far more than most reasonable human beings would be able to tolerate, government mandated or not. I feel like the characters would either be complicit in what’s going on or planning to stage a coup. Instead, they’re in this weird middle ground where they’re constantly horrified at where things seem to be headed, but also not too interested in doing anything about it. It feels unrealistic and contrived, which would be fine if the story didn’t seem like it was reaching for some amount of realism.

The story also has a harem vibe to it, as three of the girls appear to be interested in the main character. I’m guessing this is to artificially create the ntr vibe since romantic choices are off the table and the dev has been very up front that the fucking will be indiscriminate. It feels like a waste to me, as protecting your chosen waifu from the rampant sex could have been a fun time, especially if you’re constantly tempted or bribed to do the opposite.

The strongest parts of the game are the renders and characters. The girls are very pretty, look quite diverse, and have strong personalities. Regardless of where the story goes, I feel like Rising Bliss could definitely deliver some great porn.

It’s early in development yet, so who knows exactly where the dev will decide to lead things. As it stands right now though, I can’t really recommend the game, in large part because there's so little content. That could change with the addition of a few good porn scenes or the addition of good paths and choices. The former seems more likely than the latter.

well i liked it, but i despise the human toilet aspect of it, tbh the logic from the students is jsut way gone, considering there's more normal students than there are disciplinary students so they could easily be over powered, and once miki was taken away i'm not sure if i wanna continue, heck i'm annoyed we had no choice but to use the other girl in there, i'd have gotten weapons after first day and killed the committee, heck i expected miki to have been a main character, one of the classmates you escape the "love zombies" with, but there's not even a hint of those zombies yet. and not too fond of putting a lesbian in danger of this... well rape, which the entire game seems to be based on, generally don't like putting a fully lesbian character in a game with a male mc where it's clear the game will "change" her. which irl is impossible.

Not much content for now 2-3 hours, but the story is intriguing and the girls are hot. The dialogues are good.

If you're into these kinks, I'm sure you'll enjoy it.

It's a gem in the rough, let's hope they polish it well in the future.

Very excited to see how this game will turn out being! I love the story/setting of the game so far and I love that the developer made all the girls beautiful, although this might be a subjective opinion.

Wish there was a bit more content out and to be honest I am completely fine with there not being any "choice", since so far there seems to be 1 option that makes you progress the story and 1-2 other options that results in a game over. However, the game-ending options were all sexy and I always checked them out before progressing further.

I will closely follow this game's development and update my review if I feel like it doesn't deserve 5 stars, but so far this game is very promising and there is enough content to see if this is something you'd like to see more of and potentially support the developer!

The premise is fine, but the character dialogue are just fire- I love watching these characters interact and cannot wait for more entries for that alone. Whoever is behind the script has a talent on them and I love it.
Oh and the H scenes are hot too.

Overall, not bad, but VERY slow and basicly, it is not a game but a novel, because even when given (wich is rarely) your choice do not mater at all, you'll have the same animations for every choice. Please, add consequences.

For some reason I have a preconceived notion that games made using Honey Select are gonna be crap. Though the plot is simple and the game hasn't progressed very far I was surprised by how turned on I was.

The main turn on is the anticipation, wondering which girls you can get away with fucking without pissing the others off. Obviously being a heavily NTR focused game I'm wondering how hard I'm going to be unwillingly cucked in future updates.

The girls vary greatly in terms of looks but more importantly in personality, which is the USP of this game. There is a girl for every type of guy, fancy shy and introverted? you've got that. Fancy stuck up prom queen you wanna take down a few pegs? got that too. You might even get a go at your lesbian best friend! Can't wait to see how each situation plays out with each girl, there will be a lot of potential pathways (including potential situations for jealousy and NTR).

There is a lot of potential here, I hope the dev increases the rate of updates.

While it's still early and hasn't seemed to have found its footing quite yet, this one is hitting all my checkboxes. The boy in school+Honey Select+girl horny maker mcguffin trifecta has been done to death, but what's really making this one stand out to me, beyond the basic premise, is that it seems to have a liberal approach to who gets to bang (read: sharing). For those of us who indulge in that particular form of degeneracy, finding games with this kink is like being visited by horny Santa. Now, I might be preemptive in my assumption here since no one has actually been shared yet, but the setup is certainly ripe for that activity.

+ Really hot girls (dunno if the dev's using the newer version of Honey Select or what, but the girls look good)

- YMMV on basically everything from setting to graphical engine choice to current list of kinks
- Due to my computer being ancient, the game runs poorly on it (which is saying something as the game's in Ren'Py). This is a "me" issue, but if you also have hardware from the Mesozoic, be forewarned.

It feels like the main themes and kinks aren't quite sorted out yet and the project could really go one of several directions. I think even if it were to lose the elements that are currently making it special to me (sharing, the potential of girls with multiple dudes, hopefully some multiple pen), I would continue to follow because, while the tropes hit hard, there's nothing wrong with them so long as they're well-done, which they are here, so far. Basically, this could either be a good game or a great game, but I think it will be an interesting ride all the same.

Note to Devs: I think expectations are high on all sides and you certainly have your work cut out for you. Not to be presumptuous, but if you are interested in exploring sharing/group more and would like to know some games that, IMO, have done it well, feel free to hit me up.

I left the skip button active the entire ""game"" and i'm sure i didn't miss anything important. The "game" is extremely shameful, the dialogue is terrible, the characters' behavior is absolutely cringe and they are all uninteresting. And even for a porn game the "story" present here is laughable, it is so silly and atrocious that you can only laugh.

The ""choices"" then are the worst, ""choices"", because if you don't choose the option the author wants you get a sudden "Bad-ending", it´s a Kinetic novel.

This shit is so hilarious that in the dodgeball game you are presented with four """options""", and it doesn't matter which one you pick, the MC will target the one girl who wasn't present in the four ""choices"".

A total waste of time.

I really enjoyed what is there so far. It doesn't get far in the plot as of yet, but I am looking forward to more.

The frequency of lewdness is nice, although I feel like this is turning into one of those MCs that gets teased for a year then final has sex like its some end goal.

Im acually seeing an NTR tag in itch. Im curious about the story and does the first scene are going to happen or is it just mc dreams?. So to submit the review actually need to be at least 200 characters , so a quick review from me, the concept of the story with apocalyptic are rare to see and im really looking forward to it. Though, for now the sandbox are really plain and its just not an actual "sandbox" because as i know in sandbox you should be able to move freely and do anything you want. I suggest you to focus in completing the story first well you can invest some of your time to complete the sandbox too because why not it is gonna fun im sure about it . Im not a good story but the ch 1 is fine as it is i think. The humor and references included are great too.

Pros:
-Graphics are good for the art style.
-Girls are good looking and they don't have proportions that are overly exaggerated.
-Interesting premise, this is mostly whay I gave it 4 starts. I am interested in seeing where this storyline goes, I feel like there is going to be a lot of girl on girl drama for MC's dick.

Cons:
-Not a lot of content, really just an introduction to the premise of the story at this point.
-There are few errors with the English, could use a good native English speaking proofreader.
-Some of the camera angles are a little weird and keeps switching to characters that aren't speaking. Either keep one angle with both/all characters that are speaking or switch to a camera angle the shows the speaking character's face.
-There are currently not many lewd scenes.

Overall I am probably going to wait a few more versions before playing this one again but I will be keeping my eye on it.

Only played story mode. Interesting start. I'm not into NTR where MC's LIs stealer by other creepy dudes. So avoided this one but after seeing some reviews gave this a try. Actually there is no NTR in the game ( for now don't know whether it will added in the future ). There is a scene in the game where a girl giving blowjob to other dude. It's not NTR and they are already in a relationship. And the girl not a Main LI of the MC. So the game is playable for guys who hates NTR too. But there no choice in the game for now. It's kinetical at the moment. As long as the story is interesting I'm okay with it. For a HS game renders are good.

Hoping MC can protect the main girls from that dream scene.

Story: 2.5/5: Typical Porn plot
To be honest, the story is a bit silly and I think there could perhaps be better ways to do a story with a similar approach. Of course, as the game's practically a demo at the moment it's quite hard to see the full kinda writing ability of this dev.
Though, from this first chapter I wouldn't expect very beliavable writing, from the looks of things we're going to be having your classic Harem style game where suddenly all the girls want to jump on mc's dick, that's okay I guess.
Kinda hoping this games goes down the route of like actually having a story and shit, not just being another harem game, but like I said we'll have to see. In it's current state, the story seems a bit weak.

Art/cgr/renders: 3/5: Average Honey select
The CG is honey select, I don't think I've specifically seen these characters, before, but it is honey select, if you can look past that then you may be okay with the renders. The chest proprotions seem okay and none of the typical 78G cup stuff which is alwas a big plus.
Bang on meh to be honest.

Animations: 3/5 Average
Now now now, Animations are a big damn must for any game when it comes to playing them. I'm like things to move, I like it when images are shown in quick succession so that they actually move. This game does have animations that are just kinda average at this time.
I'm probably using the term average a bit lightly here, there was 1-2 animations and they seemed okay, a lot of the honey select animations don't really stand out and are really all the same to be perfectly honest.
I will say, howvever, that it's obvious the dev is going to be looking into making the game fully animated from the get go, which is really nice.
As I say, a game needs animations to really be worth it and I'd say the animations are pretty okay here.

Final
I find this review is a bit wishy washy, at this current time there's not really a lot in the game, and thus not a lot to critique so it's really hard to speak on it.
There's really not much to write home about, game seems like the typical Harem Honey select game that probably won't have that much of a story,however, from the description it seems that it could go somewhere, but we'll have to see.
I think that perhaps the writing could be improved a bit, from the way it's going it seems like every woman is going to be falling over the mc's dick, which really is the same as most games you see on Latest Updates.
I'd like to see more animations as well. (I will say though, it is good to see that animations will be in the game by default)

There's not really much content at the moment, but I'll be checking this out when a new update drops and we'll have to see where it goes. I'm seeing the NTR tag and I will say, I'm not really into NTR, at the moment there is none, but idk if dev will make some things optional or whatever, just something to keep in mind.

I think the game has some potential perhaps I'll be checking back to see where this goes, but ultimately it could be a right rotter or it could be good.

I'm giving it a 5 star right now because the premise and writing are spot on so far. I also think that the sandbox mode is a good alternative while waiting for the full story on the girls.
The game also hopes to deliver on a lot of things including sharing and NTR. And I hope that it's a *good* sharing and NTR experience.

Played: BLISS [v0.1] - Rating 4/5

Quick Summary: School setting with very good-looking students and teachers. However, very much a v0.1 with a small (Less than an hour) introduction to the world and little sexual content in the story mode* (+3). Also includes a “sandbox” which is more of a sex scene viewer which allows you to see some actual sex animations for some selected characters even though the story has not progressed that far (+1 as I think this was a great addition for a game so early in development).




Pros:

-Good looking characters

-Nameable MC

-Well written. I don’t recall any glaring grammar or spelling mistakes.

-Looks like a lot of potential Oyakodon (mother-daughter) content is being setup (But nothing related to MC)

-Sandbox gives nice sex content even though the story isn’t there yet.

-Lots of images for all (not just sex) scenes. Though I always worry about this as it could slow down development + add size.



Meh:

-We got some story in-game and a little foreshadowing, but it is still in the early stages. Hard to say how things will develop.

-The sex scene viewer being called sandbox, while probably correct, will perhaps cause confusion for some that expect a sandbox story mode.

-There seemed to be a lot of transitions that I felt were a little on the slow side (Causing me to over click at times). I do like to read the dialogue but waiting a second starts to add up.



Cons:

-Lack of choice (It is v0.1). There is only one and it is not really a choice. Choose right or game over. The choice didn’t even make a lot of sense for a game over other than they wanted to throw in a choice.

-Game is kind of big for the content we have so far (Though at the time of writing this a 0.1.1 has come out that reduced file size, but I did not play it).

-No choice on how to finish in sandbox mode. I hope in story mode or sandbox down the line we have a choice between inside, outside, facial, etc.



Random Thoughts:

I usually stay away from v0.1 of a game. However, I decided to give it a go as it struck me as a potential Kansen like game. The introduction of the game has not caught up to the description of the game yet so don’t really expect much action or societal collapse scenario yet. The game is just starting the governments plan to ‘correct’ the declining birthrate. It is hard to say how long it will take for things to ramp up.

Since it is early it is hard to say how much agency the character will have in the game through choices (If any). Will the MC resist? Will the MC go with the flow? Too early to recommend because we don’t have enough content/story yet to know whom it will really appeal to. I think the starting scene will certainly scare off some of the more vocal people on the forum. I’m no fan of sharing with other males (Though love sharing with females or competing with female antagonists), but I will not condemn the game either if that’s the story the creator wants to tell. However, since all the other male characters introduced are douchebags to one degree or another and most females in the game seem to prefer the MC I think the game will go in a very fun and interesting direction.

Hopefully I will get a chance to update this review as the game develops. Right now I think the creator is on a good track and I hope things go well for them no matter how they choose to tell their story.

Lewd scenes are good! Sandbox mode with lewd scenes is good! Story is still at the beginning and rough around the edges, but with lewd scenes allready. Good!

In the "Sandbox" mode you can choose from different girls and have sex with them. They all do the same positions but the animations look very good allready!
