Is this game worth the try? saw a lot of neg reviews but see some "recent" ones saying that it should rank higher

Honestly i didn't like it very much, the dungeons are randomized and there's nothing interesting in them to find, the combat is bare-bones and incredibly easy you will never lose or get raped unless you try to, outside of combat is the typical scenes of a bar job, strip club, beach episode, random molesters on the street, etc if i remember correctly its all human sex, no monsters here.

The porn is okay, different artists did different scenes and some are super hot and some are kinda meh

The part i liked the most is the characterization of some of the side-characters and the protagonist, she is very endearing and i wanted to see how her story ended.

-Why are you running around sending unhinged dramamongering messages to random Steam users rather than running your company?
-Shit, I dunno what you're on about man, I just game here.

I personally don't blame an entire company for what one individual might do. That besmirches the hard work everyone else does which isn't considered fair. Every company has some bad apples whether they be the ceo or just a random worker. The company itself shouldn't be blamed unless the majority of them are behaving that way.

If three guys gang up on one person, dramamongering to ruin the chill atmosphere of the server, even cheering when they spent 3 straight hours wasting their lives dogpiling one person to get them to finally snap, the mods all insist that this is normal behavior you would see at any grocery store. They're allowed to be shit-stirring assholes ruining the chill post-nut energy of the server and singling chill, based, and liked members of the server out.

If someone is dogpiled by such guys and tries to report it for the obvious violation of the rules it is, the community managers insist the person actually wanted to waste three hours of their life being relentlessly dogpiled by three asholes with too much time on their hands and a deep-seeded need to overcompensate for their low self-esteem who openly admit they're there to stir up trouble and not to talk about hentai games. You know, because they somehow think it's normal to want to waste three hours of your life being dogpiled by weird maladjusted drama-stirrers who didn't get enough hugs growing up. And I mean, I'm not a masochist, but... should they really be projecting their own masochism onto others? /jk

This isn't official policy, mind. On paper, those assholes trying to stir up trouble and harass chill people just there to play a hentai game are in the wrong and it's against the rules. It's just the rules are not enforced because every single one of the community managers will make this bizarre excuse that reminds me of Gearbox CEO Randy Pitchfork saying a guy he physically assaulted "wanted it and reveled in it."

So, remember, guys! If you're ever in the Kagura Games Discord server to just have chill talks about hentai games, and you get randomly attacked by a group of assholes who openly admit they just want to stir shit up and ruin your chill time, YOU are the one in the wrong for not wanting them to attack you, and THEY are in the right for using the Kagura Games server for something it wasn't intended for. At least three different community managers have said so openly, and the CEO stands by them.

Swapping out the game's img folder for the decrypted one didn't seem to work for me, unless I just messed up something
Swapping out the game's img folder for the encrypted one does work, BUT for some reason the encrypted archive has a data folder with a different System.json (probably Kagura's?) and if you put that one in, game doesn't work

So in summary, download encrypted, and only replace the img folder

I forgot to delete the data folder from the encrypted version, haha, since the page required the System.json file to decrypt and re-encrypt the files.

I decrypted the game using Joiplay so I could change and rename the images from my PC. It's easier to modify the game with the decrypted files. I re-encrypted them for those who only want to change the "picture" folder, which contains the images without censored.

Yeah, I wanted to answer a question, though. As I said at the top of the comment, I worried it was off-topic, so I appreciate you telling me, dude. I've noticed that F95zone is pretty big on enforcing their "no going off topic" rule, often more than their other rules are enforced. Though I don't think that's a mark against them. I think it's just a matter of that one being stepped on more often than other rules.

100% agree. This is one of the most endearing female protagonists I've seen in a hentai game in some time. I'm still early in but she's been a delight so far.

Tbh I haven’t extracted it to be sure if any differences: but in general: I wouldn’t delete an entire img folder. You just need to replace the relevant images.

So the generic order would be: decrypt the original img folder. Use the decrypted uncensored images you’ve downloaded to replace the relevant images. Then go into the system.json file and change encrypted images it from true to false as you’ve written there.

the other alternative is use the link via petschko; find the encryption key (either by dropping a file from your game into the website; or just find it in the system.json). Then use that key to encrypt all the uncensored decrypted files and then replace the relevant files. Hopefully that’s all clear.

Note: The error where the body takes up half the screen when you are stripped naked in combat is due to an error in the image resolutions in the Kagura version. I have adjusted the size, so it should work correctly. This is the only error I have seen so far when applying the uncensored images.

Just be careful, img/system usually has a window.png that’s usually missing after decrypting as that file usually isn’t in .rpgmvp format event with an encrypted game. Which is why a decent solution is like you did: merge the files in there; then find all the .rpgmvp files and then delete.
You can get away with just making sure to copy the windows.png into your decrypted file set itself: but it complicated when people use plugins for things like live2d that sometimes will have other pngs that also won’t come up when you mass decrypt.
