Project:

Rogue-lite, date-sim RPG sandbox in early development. The game blends open-ended exploration, relationship-building, and emergent narrative, with a strong focus on transformation, crossdressing, corruption, and a wide range of adult themes. Players create a character, select a background, and interact with a procedurally generated world of NPCs, factions, and events. The tone can range from lighthearted to dark, depending on choices and random events.

Looking for:
  • 2D Artists
    • Style: Anime, 2D, flat, closer to games/illustration style.
    • AI Use: Welcome if used professionally (not generic “1girl” but with specific LoRAs for illustration style, or as reference only).
    • Technical: All body parts must be split for Live2D-style rigging (front and side views).
    • Content: Humans to start, with various haircuts, emotion sprites, and clothing. Everything should be in a consistent style (or be aligned later if needed, possibly with AI help), but variety is welcome.
  • Lore Writers
    • Focus: Writing lore for factions, outlining tensions between states/territories, and possibly historic events.
    • Current Work: I am slowly outlining general country types, factions, their lore and behavior, races, and their social dynamics.
    • Contribution: Help flesh out the world’s history, cultures, and the relationships between its powers.
  • Game designer
    • Current work: I am writing various parts of the game separately, each needs polishing and some may be rewriting.
    • Core systems: Dating system, Combat system. There's dozens of other systems which eventually will need attention.
Employment Type:

Unpaid / Hobby collaboration

Developer (me):

Solo dev (At the moment - TypeScript + Vue + Electron, hobby project)

Work Commitment:

Flexible, part-time, hobby pace (weekends/evenings, as you like). No deadlines, no pressure.

Preferred Method of Contact:

Forum PM first, then Telegram for ongoing discussion.

Job Description:
  • Writers:
    • Expand on the lore for factions, states, and races.
    • Develop the world’s history, key events, and the tensions that drive its politics and stories.
    • Schematic outlines and brainstorming are welcome—no need for polished prose at the start.
  • Artists:
    • Create Live2D-like sprites (front and side views), with modular body parts for rigging.
    • Design a variety of haircuts, facial expressions, and clothing.
    • Consistency in style is important, but creative variety is encouraged.
    • AI-generated art is welcome if used as a tool for professional results or as reference. (no default models)
Additional Comments:
  • The game is developing very slowly, especially given the hobby schedule and ambitious feature set. Please do not expect rapid progress or a quick release.
  • I’m open to implementing any feature you might need for your story or art — though most things are probably already planned.
  • Multiple authors and artists are welcome; I’d love to see a variety of voices and styles.
Interested? Send me a PM with a bit about your interests, and (if you have them) links to your writing or art. Let’s build something unique together!

There's second edition in progress, using first as prototype.
Avatar editor from first edition:

Character page (and twine-like menu panel) from first edition:

Below is few screenshots of current drafts, including generators and UI. It's a second edition.

It took few months to make first prototype, more like twine editor with locations and other features.
And second prototype is around two months old.

hello! i'm a 2d artist and i like the sandbox world you have in mind, but i'd like to understand better how the game would be visually, do you have any game that you can show me as an example? one that you use as a reference, because what you are showing here, seems to me a text based game. (I don't have any experience with Spine/live2d, but if all you need are separate layers of the characters' limbs I can do it without any problems)

if you're curious about my art style, search for @/extinctYellow on twitter ^^

I would apply as a game designer but this project is way too ambitious.
The idea of having everything procedurally generated, INCLUDING the NPCs is a nail in the coffin for this project.
It might not be impossible, but in best case scenario you'll end up with bunch of lore for the world but no good reason to explore it. It's more likely that you'll burn out from this project than it succeeding.

I'd suggest scaling the scope down and switching to the Godot engine.

Switching engine and language is worst that can happen in project - since I don't know anyting about Godot and not much about language.
Trying to advice without knowing the project structure or reasons why it looks like this - sounds weird.

Unlike C++, C# and GDScript, I perfectly know the typescript and confident that I will finish the codebase alone, the only question is the time. And since I busy a lot writing code, I can do most of other things for project, but every task takes time from actually writing the code and finishing it.

  • Switching to a different engine is tough, but I wouldn't call it the worst thing, especially when you're in such early stage of development. You have all the time in the world to learn Godot which could help you in the long run.
  • My advice sounds weird to you and I couldn't give a fuck (y) I guess I need to know how a house of cards was built to know that it can easily fall apart. It's the "players don't know how to rate games, coz they don't know how games are made" type of argument.
  • You're worried about time and that's exactly why I advised you to switch engines coz Godot is probably the most intuitive engine out there while also being relatively advanced. Not only you would probably fall in love with it, but you'd allow your coworkers to have an easier time doing shit with the engine, therefore saving more time.

you like Godot - you develop own game
house of cards in your mind because you know nothing
engine is the last thing I need

may be you know how to make procedural cities in godot or may be you can implement live2d-like avatar? then do it yourslef

Nah thanks, it's a waste of time and I tried to warn you, but you don't wanna listen. Good luck with your project (y)
