There are tons of romance games but not all of them make it here. There is one called "My life as a Maiden" with an effeminate looking guy ends up in all girls school and has a choice of 5 girls he can end up with. It's a sweet little story but no sexual content.

From here then.

Princess Evangile. It's another guy at an all girls school but he's a proper lad. He gets invited because some teachers and students want to open up the school to males too but need to see if they will fit in. Again he has several girls to choose from and a fan disk that adds a couple more.

Do Love me Seriously. One of my fave series. The MC is a pretty likable guy and knows what he's doing while all the women are great too. There is a sequel and 2 fan disks with a third currently being translated that all add more girls to romance. It does take a while to play through them all because you can only pick one girl at a time then play through her stories. When I say girls to choose from I don't mean harem style.

Magical Marriage Lunatics. While the MC can be annoying at times the girls stories are all great.

Dharker Studios has a few games out with romance in them but they also have dark as fuck endings if you pick the wrong choices.

The Elsaverse series is fantastic and all romance.

Play them in that order, that's the end of the Elsaverse series. They also have a few other games like Coming to Grips with Christine which is also on here and Pandora which isn't.

That's more grooming than romance. It's creepy as fuck.

If you are ok with 3DCG games that are ongoing there's (incest of course) and , also but that is early days (really good though).
Do Love me Seriously. One of my fave series...
I remember that, as the Maji de Watashi ni Koi Shinasai!! (from a fair few years ago).

I didn't played that game you said, but here's a couple ones that in my personal taste i think are "romantic":

- I enjoyed this one, you can date 3 girls atm and play with some friends of them, has a couple of sex scenes (don't have full sex scenes with these 3 but still enjoyable)

- School setting, you can date 5 girls, some of them you can have a really romance path, or you can just try to bang all, but you never know what can happen...

- I personally didn't like what the developer made with the story after chapter 5/6, but still a good romance game, with a good story...

- This one isn't exactly a "romance game", but you still can kinda care for characters in a romance way, and it's one of my fav. (incest)

- Has a DMD vibe, good romance, mostly with the daughter, also one of my fav.

- i stopped playing this a while ago (need to catch up actually) but still another alternative. (has incest patch)

The anime was average but the VN's are great. You can follow the anime and end the game with the 2 Crayfish or you can get with one of the girls, especially Momo because Momo is best girl ever.

That's good taste, I tip my hat to you, sir or madam, I can't recommend Majikoi enough and even though I thought Princess Evangile plot dragged for way too long, it's a good game and the expansion with Ruriko and the reporter girl was even better than the base girls IMO.

On that note I would recommend Nobleworks too, it has a similar premise from PE, except the School is co-ed and the MC is posing as a body double.

And if your heart is strong enough: Grisaia no Kajitsu, Yume Miru Kusuri and Katawa Shoujo are all great romance VNs even if they go very dark places before going to the sweet feeling of a happy ending.

Just started reading Grisaia no Kajitsu, some of those back stories though... damn.

Katawa Shoujo I have a love/hate relationship with. I loved the girls, I loved the story but the MC annoyed me at times and the endings are very abrupt. I feel like it could have done with an after story. The DLC was great too, I loved the lesbian romance in that one.

I am ashamed in myself that I hadn't heard of Nobleworks until now though.

No need to be ashamed there's always one or two VNs you never heard of. Nobleworks is above average, could be better with another MC, but the girls are nice and the story is pretty decent.

Yeah, Grisaia does that to people, still, I love Michiru and Sachi and the game has one of the best written stories of all VNs IMO.

Back on topic, not as high on my list, but still worth checking out if you like romance:
Hatsukoi 1/1 fairly basic premise, one guy, a useless club, lots of girls to choose from, but the art is great and the routes are at the very least creative and fresh.

ToHeart 2, first is from '97 and has not aged well, but it's unrelated. This one has very little main plot and a lot of routes to find and some great waifus.

And with a little more of action/RPG involved:
Kamidori Alchemy Meister - crafting/turn-based RPG with lots of action, romance and monster girls. The gameplay is also pretty good and doesn't weight against the game.

Kikouyoku Senki Tenkuu no Yumina - exploration/turn-based RPG, doesn't take itself very seriously and the girls are nice. In fact, the main conflict is the MC's childhood friend trying to win school president election to change rules and not be expelled, then weird shit happens (and I mean weird shit).

And in general:
Stein;Gate - no porn and romance is not the main focus, but the heroines get one ending each and most together with the MC. It's just that good of a story that I would recommend for anyone who likes VNs.

I see what you mean. Haven't read much, he's still getting used to the school, but his character is all over the place. One minute he's fine and the next he's incredibly annoying.

Take the MC from Evangile and put him in this and it would be fantastic.
