Flash - Abandoned - Room to Rent [v0.8.4r full] [NERDWORKS]

This game is bad. You get 400 minigames with no knowledge of how to ever start them, no indication on where to click, you have to click the specific speech bubble to continue the text, engrish galore, you get a nipple flash and a lot, A LOT, of feet stuff. As someone disgusted by feet, you can imagine how I feel. Even the "sex" minigame which is you rubbing your dick against her foot takes ten years, and possibly three tries, to get through. All of the transitions take about 10 seconds and are completely unskippable. Even if you've seen it already. If you paid for this I'm sorry. Just don't play this game. I'm not in my jokey mood this time, I apologize, but this game is just so bad.

To start things off, I'd like to say I really like the character models. Now...

Dude this is suppose to be an adult game, not real life, I don't want to do fucken chores. The fact that u gotta do everything step by step to progress the game, not skippable, is the dumbest shit i've ever seen implemented. It's not even grinding for stats like some games, it's just tedious work with no benefit. It takes out all the player's freedom and choice and waste too much time. I literally played the intro of this shit and it took me 2 hours to fix his god damn room, and that's with the hints. Once you get pass that and the real game begins, your first mission is to check the mail, but the player UI is confusing that I had no idea what I needed to do. I got the key for the mailbox and clicked on the front door, but it wouldn't let me open it. At first I thought it was a bug, but then after literally clicking on every single clickable thing in the house until finally, his fucken shoes... Usually putting on shoes isn't necessary when you're playing a game, but it is in this one apparently. Now if that wasn't bad enough, this game one up itself with the next task. You're suppose to read the newspaper while on the toilet and find jobs that are hiring and call those places. The problem is you're suppose to remember like 6 phone numbers and manually dial into your phone. The final nail in the coffin is when you can't even reopen the newspaper, that you have in your inventory, to check what those numbers are. If you didn't save then whelp start dialing random numbers cause you're fucked. If your goal is to waste people's time, you've done a fantastic job, otherwise this is one of the worst games I've played in a while. NOT RECOMMENDED!

Tips: If you just focus on the story and drop all the sand box nonsense, maybe it'll be a decent game. People don't have all the time in the world to "remodel a room"

Remove all the needless clicking mini games and concentrate on the story and it wouldn't be half bad.

I like the models, the settings, the concept of the story but those mind numbing point and click 130 times on this particular spot or that particular spot is just for the dogs.

Painting ceilings, putting up wall paper, bringing up furniture, etc..
I guess we should be glad that we aren't asked to watch the paint dry.

I don't know if this is a troll job posing as a game but it's hands down the worst game I've ever played bar none. Nudity/sex couldn't even save this from the hubris of it's own creator. He/she/they/it? takes simulation to otherworldly levels of autism the likes of which the world has never seen.

Long and boring minigames. It just makes the game very boring and frustrating. They do not add anything to the plot or enhance the in-game experience.
In addition, the handling of the mouse has to be very precise, it is very easy to get stuck in the minigames and this causes you to have to move and click the mouse randomly throughout the screen in search of luck.

Unplayable waste of time. Truly, truly awful. Unless you are some sort of OCD overload (and fair play if you are, I'm not judging) you will not enjoy this. In fact I will go as far as saying you will hate it. Here is a quick peek into what you can look forward to. In the first few minutes you'll get to click on un-highligted blank areas of scenery to progress. Then you get quizzed at mutiple levels on information you learned earlier, with a mutiple choice of 10 or more responses. A bit more random scenery clicking. Once you eventually get through all that you get to decorate your room. If your fetish is decorating then you'll love the extended and intricate ceiling painting minigame where you paint the ceiling in four separate scenes. Each scene you get to click the mouse in two, or sometimes 3 separate areas to move the paint roller. You get to do that maybe half a dozen times for each scene.

It is truly tedious and fiddly. Just pointless padding to make 3 minutes of gameplay take 20 minutes. I've quit and deleted before I've even finished painting the ceiling and I gather the awesome task of wallpapering was going to be even worse...

This ones a difficult one to review.
TLDR: Good artwork, story. Lots of grinding.

Gameplay
Let me begin with the elephant in the room. The grinding. While I understand they wanted to introduce game play elements, rather than having it be a simple VN, I feel they did it in entirely the wrong way. I was damn tempted to stop several times throughout, and is the reason it is only 4 stars (almost bad enough to be 3 stars, but they did include a cheat button which helps somewhat).

Story
The story is interesting, if a bit standard. The guy seems overly pushy, and christ the family is conservative. There's enough uniqueness in it to be interesting, and the family is rather believable, although they adapt to the main character rather quickly. The english is understandable, but quite obviously not a fluent speaker. It needs some proofreading.

Artwork
The mum looks a bit meh, but I'm not into milfs so not the best judge here. The quality of the renders is rather high, though the resolution isn't the best (between 720 and 1080).
I think the girl is rather cute, and is certainly my favourite character. One of the better girls from the games I've played.

Pluses:
Pubic Hair. While plenty of girls in real life shave, virgins and sexually repressed milfs don't. It adds an extra element of realism.
Tit size. These girls have realistic tit sizes, the mums is slightly larger than average, and the daughter has small tits which fit her figure fairly well. In real life, people (without surgery) don't have tits bigger than their heads.

This is one of the games that can actually be called Absolute garbage. Very Amateur, and grindy story/game with really nothing to the story/game as a whole. Graphics and animations are poor, the story is poor and is not interesting at all. A really piss poor attempt at a story/game, one to be avoided, not worth wasting time on it.

I am going to repeat what I already said before:
"This is one of those hidden gems.
There's an interesting puzzle/escape room component in the game. It requires a bit of patience and thinking, specially in the beginning to explore the game mechanics. Remodeling the room for instance can leave some (lazier) players complaining and unwilling to continue. I have seen this in this thread.
It's a simple story (so far) with nice assets used. I like the characters and I am very curious to know how things will develop in it."

Very good C Gs and the game is a bit tiring but enjoyable if you get the hang of it. The setting very realistic and detailed. Definitely worth your time. As the game is still under development it lacks the "sexy bits" but I hope it will be a game different and worthwhile after a few updates. Lets hope the dev will put more content soon.

One of the most intriguing games around here, i would say almost brilliant in its very own way, Yet, a fair warning, this is not a game for everyone. Those looking for a quick&easy fap should stick (assuming they already dropped porn-hub for whatever reasons) to kns, vns or linear rpgms.

Uneccesarily tedious. Forces you to remember useless information within the first 2 minutes of the game. Really doesn't have any sort of sensible UI or the way it plays. Always having to hunt for something to click on.

A very good game. Don't really know why people complain about the grind. There are way grindier games out there like the similar named "room for rent" which I consider to be very grindy. At least here you have some puzzles to solve

Too much clicking, not enough sexual content to warrant the amount of time you do tedious bullshit. Easily the worst game I have played on this site. Don't even bother, it is a complete waste of time.

The gameplay is a bit boring sometimes (more puzzles than I would like to solve), but the graphic is incredible, and the story is excellent! So, during the playing this game I hate it sometimes But after to the end of the chapter (5 or 6) I definitely want more!

the game is interesting but sometimes saves dont work in loading and coming back or rewind would help better saving is important as some of us dont have direct hours of playing time. graphics are smooth but at times some help would be nice

Terrible decorating simulator, nothing but a grind that if you get wrong you have to repeat. I'm well over an hour in may be closer to 2 and nothing has happened. Its just been redecorating and unpacking and building furniture. Seriously I feel like this is just a troll game I be the dev is laughing his ass off.

Besides the mini-games wich can be quite annoying at times the game is great, nice story, nice renders.
If you can see beyond the mini-games its Better then most games around, i really enjoyed it and i recommend playing if you have the patience.

This game could have so much potential, but man, what horrible annoying minigames. What is it, a move in simulater? What was on the devs mind? How can u fap on this? Absolute garbage, ... as I said, the plot and the renders could have had so much potential, what a waste...
