RPGM MV art help

hi everybody,
I am thinking of creating a game with rpg maker mv and I only have the small problem of not knowing what programs to use to create the characters, scenarios, cinematics, and others, I must clarify that I am looking to do something stylized, more realistic and less manga or anime, what do you recommend?

somethin like this for furniture buildings and others



and something like this for the characters
for the movies i dont care if i hace to do it picture by picture

You can literally do that with MS Paint, RPG Maker XP once offered a way to erase the background from a flat color... So that was a viable option, I am not sure if that is the case anymore.

Not that it matters, GIMP is another free alternative you can use.
