The game looks fun and even beautiful -- but what's with controller and mouse? The game turns the character towards mouse cursor, but when LMB is pressed, the charater actually attacks in the direction it's pointed by what it perceives as 'controller'. And since it perceives my Logitech X-52 as one, the direction is determined by throttle lever, making the game literally unplayable.
It's not optimized well and some of the dialogue is plain hard to follow. I wouldn't normally complain about these things, but for a lot of enemies a dip in framerate will kill you. Once you do get comfortable with the mechanics and framerate it's very easy though. Gold and items can be abused heavily after a single bounty, and the only dangerous thing about bosses is some of them have a sprint/charge. Most enemies can be kept far far away with sweeping weapons like polearms and scythes. Unfortunately there isn't enough variety in items or rooms for the roguelike mode to be much fun either. The dialogue is mostly fine, but plots like the robinhood one had no impact though that could be more how rushed it was and less the translation. The ending is pretty typical, and the reveal about the curse doesn't make much sense since the monsters in Heaven's Ladder aren't part of the regular world.
There were a number of good sex scenes too, but it commits the cardinal sin for these games. It can't be played with one hand, although it doesn't really matter in this case. The sex scenes and game progression are completely separate. I would recommend playing through a zone, and only watching the scenes in the recall area afterward. Fortunately you don't need to lose to unlock them.

Haven't played this in a while but basically straight up tortured and murdered in a relatively non-sexual way IIRC, but if you go for the "true" ending she gets better.
she was the reason I haven't played this game past the tutorial though.. I noticed she has a pretty nasty personality, and it seemed like she was trying to fuck over the MC.. I guess by fuck over, in this context, I mean both literally(as in almost hoping that the MC gets killed or w/e.. she doesn't seem to care from what I saw in the tutorial at least) and corrupting type of way
maybe I was wrong? idk.. anyways, it's strange she has no sex scenes.. usually the characters like her have the sex scene where a guy they thought was under their control, gets loose and destroys their pussy.. it's a trope by now, but anyways..
I don't remember what her mission was early on but she's the minion not the bad boss. And she does grow closer to the protagonist, just not in a way where they have sex.
Overall this game is more like a classic heroic fantasy RPG with violent Game Over Rape tacked on for some ungodly reason, and is one of the few on here where I would argue removing the porn entirely would genuinely improve it.
