Played: v0.0.4
Still called a tech demo, this demo currently doesn't offer much more than basic mechanics.
You can walk, you can interact with objects and people, and you can see the first basic animations.
Currently, various flaws are particularly noticeable.
After a sex animation, it very often happens that a distant person is already marked as the next conversation target. It even feels like a person who is a good 50 meters away.
This makes targeted conversations impossible.
Clothing, such as the skirt, has various clipping errors, so that, for example, when kneeling, the legs cut through the skirt.
Once purchased, an item cannot be put down again. Once clicked, it is immediately considered a purchase. The fix for v0.0.4 therefore seems illogical to me.
Graphically, the game remains far below the engine's capabilities. I hope this will be improved.
The pregnant belly sinks into the ground during the rape scene.
Clothes are optionally dropped instead of being put back on after sex. This primarily happens with skirts.
Dropped items appear only as a small white dot, so expensive clothing on the floor can be easily overlooked.
Desirable:
- More equippable items (bones as a club) to have something handy in case of a robbery attempt.
- Likewise, a club could also deter potential rapists.
- More NPC actions, such as guards who react to begging attempts within sight, bargaining with merchants for discounts, etc.
- BDSM content, such as pillory, cross, or wooden horse.
- Rebalancing hunger. Currently, exploring the urban surroundings would hardly be possible, as food would be consumed too quickly.
- Day & night cycle with different encounters.
This could lead to more drunks around at night, which could make robberies easier, but could also provoke unpleasant reactions.
Guards could be more lenient at night and more open to favors.
- Reputation status with individual NPCs. For example, a guard was served for free, so they'll remember this the next time they encounter him.
And very important: A plausible story with diverse paths, goals, and good and bad endings.
Currently, you've seen everything in 15 minutes of gameplay, and I currently only see potential for about an hour of replay time, which is also related to the fact that the available food is limited.
It's difficult to give this demo a fair rating at the moment. Therefore, it will probably be a neutral rating with a bonus point for its potential, and the idea of avoiding a loss of motivation due to an overly negative rating.
