Well, work kept me from playing the last couple updates, but now I could finally spare some time...

Damn. The bank teller has no chill.

Then again, he ain't wrong, either.

Probably already been mentioned, but the pulpit in the orthodox church is bugged, acting like flat ground.

Sadie, I'm disappointed. I'd have expected you to at least look deep enough into the prayer books to differentiate by deity. I'm sure Brooks would've had some interesting things to say, at least. Like the manuscript for the hit musical 'Springtime for Zelastrus IV and the Monster Kingdom'.

The museum is great. Cute antiquarian, too. Exactly my type.

Interesting circling effect when going up a stairwell while an NPC is at the other end. Huh.

(NPCs blocking chokepoints is a bit of a problem in general. They do move eventually, but...)

... Neemar lost?!? Jesus.

Slums and actual progression next!

Agreed on the bank teller. Though if you ever are in need of a mortgage to buy a toilet, this is the best bank for that.

You're right about the Orthodox church and pulpit. You can also talk to the people on the second floor from the ground, though my headcanon just has Sadie shouting up to them because she's rude. I'll fix the pulpit. I'm also going to make it so that you pass through NPCs at the top or bottom of those diagonal stairs. I know there are a couple of places where this can happen, so I'll go back through and fix those. Thanks for the report.

I have thought about including an encyclopedia that keeps track of the in-game religion and other things that are potentially interesting but not plot-critical. Except for Brooks, who is secretly incredibly plot-critical, as he provides the sacramental wine.

NPCs getting in the way is an issue, yeah. I'm going to think about what I can do to mitigate that without having to widen a bunch of hallways and streets. It's part of why I changed the layout of the Textile District: because there's one chap who blocks the way on the left-hand side for a while until he very slowly makes his way down. That idea is on my backlog, so I'll noodle on it and maybe introduce a neat idea for 0.2.6. In the meantime, I'll go through anything new in 0.2.5 and make sure I don't exacerbate the problem.

There are some real card sharks in the casino. Some of them aren't even green.

An additional issue: I can't find the Crusty Nugget Inn. Are you sure that it's in the Noble District, as the quest log reports?

I have the distinct feeling that the quest log reports the locations where we received the quests, rather than those where they take place.

Where else than at a shitty bank...

I think the most elegant fix would be to make the NPC's at such spots collisionless, so that we can walk through them.

I can't seems to find Mallory between two houses below the inn that's located in adventurer discrict. Do I have to finish certain subquest or what? I finished every 0.2.3 theieves quest.
Edit: Mind you I am currently playing 0.2.4.

The Crusty Nugget Inn is where Sadie and company stayed when they entered Svetlanda. You received the quest in the Noble District (Diplomatic Quarters) but will head to the Adventurers' District for that. I'll make that clearer in the quest description. But in general (not always, because consistency is my nemesis), the quest location is where you received the quest. I've tried to make it clear in the quest stage description where to go.

Do you have the Scared Straight quest from the Mission in the Slums? If so, you should see a flashing circle between the two houses.

If you haven't received that quest yet, it happens after you have completed the first Mission in the Slums-related quest and after you have gotten into three random fights with North Side Gang members. Then, go to sleep and Lexi will wake Sadie up and tell her about the new quest.

Seems quest " Monster City Mashers – Guard Weapons" cant be progresssed after defeating goons there.

I'm not sure what happened there--there's a condition that auto-plays once you complete the mission and your savefile shows that you met the criteria, but it didn't play for some reason.

Could you try replacing the following Map061.json file in your SadieGetsALife\data\ directory with the one here? You'll likely see a glitch where it shows the same "Hey boss man, isn't there supposed to be a guard here?" dialogue but ignore that and it should play the post-battle sequence and send Sadie back home.

Admittedly, I've avoided pass-through NPCs because that makes interaction with those characters harder, but it's a solid plan and if I don't come up with something else, I can at least do that. Thank you.

I also figured that Sadie could be enabled to shoo them away somehow. That leaves opportunities for some funny remarks and scenes.

It wouldn't be necessary though to make all NPC's collissionless.

Having the quest log show target locations instead of the source quetion would make it much easier to track quests.

Keep in mind that people may stop playing the game for some time, and then need to be able to pick up where they left off when they start playing again.

I accidentally entered the carpet factory a while after I completed the quest there, but this time, I couldn't exit anymore.

here you go
Looks like the issue was a version of a plugin that I'm using got updated and required a new parameter that I failed to set. You can extract this file into SadieGetsALife\js\ and it will replace plugins.js.

Scartius this is the same bugfix for you as well.

You can grab the zip file at

As a quick heads up, there is a chance that Microsoft Defender could flag this as a false positive, as it's a single JavaScript file in an archive. It's not, but if you're concerned and would like the exact patch details to modify your plugins.js file, I can provide that instead.

I'll have an updated version of 0.2.4 with these patches out later today as well but that requires a full download.
