When it comes to exporting your Animations from Daz to Blender, it leads to all sort of funky quirks. I am completely new to DAZ and was bamboozled by how complicated it was to export my stuff to Blender. A whole weekend was spent to figure out how the heck it works. I tried everything: DAZ to Blender Bridge (which completely fucked up my Blender Workspace and it didn’t even work), Diffeomorphic, Export as Blend File, Export as FBX, Export as MDD with animate, Export as Alembic using the Addon from DAZ themselves. I kid you not: NOTHING WORKED OUT.

Especially the morphs used by DAZ will always mess something up. So when I was finally ready to throw the towel I stumbled upon the over at DAZ Forums. This mad man somehow was able to write a Plugin which is 746 Kilobytes big and does what no other variant was able to: Export the Scenes EXACTLY as is in Daz to Blender. Or to any other Program which can handle Alembic files.

I only had to link the Textures again and there it was: my animation from DAZ exactly how it was in Blender.

So... happy rendering you all!
