VN - Others - Completed - Sakura, The Jirai-kei Magical Girl [v1.0.0H] [monime / iMel]

Well, that was a spectacular short VN. I got misleaded at first by the picture, but turned out it's an one same girl, as the game is single heroine- romantic VN.

- Story 5/5:
Probably the best feature of the game, which got me hooked since the beginning until the end. Very creative and can be seen some imagination has been put into. The overview doesn't provide much of an explanation, but it is basically ''Men in Black'' similarity. That's the closest i can compare it to something.
You(the MC-ordinary human being) met this girl, to which you show act of kindness. Later she will save your life from half human-half beast. It will turn she's part of secret organization, which deal with such issues. Instead of delete your memories, they will offer you to work for them. The rest is history. The game also has choices, so to trigger the good ending, you should choose wisely.
Negative side is the game is not fully animated, alot of scenes by that even fighting ones are just text-based, without showing properly what is going on in the background. So unleash your imagination.

- Voice acting/writing 5/5:
No objections here either. The voice actress voice suit perfectly the childish behaviour and nature of the heroine. The writing was top-notch also. Not many VNs writings with a combination with their story manage to keep you in tension and expectation what will happen next.
Great life-motioned artstyle aswell.

- Sex scenes 3/5:
They are decent for what they are, but not remarkable. The game lenght is short, so the scenes are only few in numbers aswell. Neither they are long, i'd say they are on the middle to the shorter side by durations. The girl herself is a virgin and ignorant, but still has some desire to explore. Except the first scene - you will come as a leading figure, while she seems reluctant. That's just a thing with me, i prefer when the heroines are more proactive, but that's not the case here.

- Overall:
It's a good game, but you can expect as much of iMel. Have played many games from them and they offer great content. The game itself takes about 2 days to be finished. I wish we would see a 2nd part to the game someday, because such story offers great opportunity for sequel with endless posibilities.

It's a single heroine VN. I'd compare this to most one-room VN types where you suddenly found yourself in a room with the main heroine.

as for the rather low score, I dunno. I just find her art icky. for example, they're trying to make her as thin as possible, but her thighs are way too big. the proportions definitely do not match. either the people there are also starting to become fat, or they couldn't find a model thin enough. AI will probably fix this, and yes I said that. artists you have been warned.

like the guy below me, the story is servicable and that is the biggest praise I could give this vn. the heroine is sometimes selfish (well she deserves some selfishness anyway), arrogant, introvert but somehow is completely docile to the mc. I hate to say this, but revealing why she is docile to mc is probably the biggest spoiler this vn has. in other words, that's how little the vn has in story content. I could easily see myself forgetting what the VN is all about in just a month.

final score: 2.5/5 its as average as it goes. but I'll give it 2 stars because of how little the length:content ratio this has.

In this game's world there are monsters living among humanity. They both have a monster form but can also turn into their human form. A secret government organization keeps track of them and hides their existence from the common humans. Think men in black, except magical creatures instead of aliens.

You, a random guy, end up being the handler of a cute girl with superpowers. Her job is to respond to incidents and handle the monster threats as they pop up. Turns out shes a slob that only eats and sleeps and can't take care of herself. As her handler you have to make sure she goes through normal life properly.

She also doesnt really understand human interaction. So she demands you go with her in the bath to scrub her clean and doesnt understand sex or love.

The art is clean (although the resolution is a bit low for 2025). The girl is cute. Although it is a bit weird they gave her a jirai-kei style even though she is doesnt embrace the mindset at all. It is as if you have a goth girl that only listens to pop music and is into flower arranging.

The biggest problem I had was with the story. About halfway

Overal I enjoyed my time with the VN. The story was servicable, the girl is cute, and the ending was cute. Although the stuff I put in the spoiler really hurt the quality of the story in my opinion.
