The game is awesome.
The development is promising. The speed of the development is slow... what can you expect from a single person developing a side game with a scope that matches or surpasses most other RPG Maker games here? Progress is being made though and the scope of the game is not small.
The only thing that the dev did wrong was give into the temptation of answering questions related to the release of versions and not deny others who asked if a release is "close". He always maintaned that he can and will not put out a release date but some desperate people managed to convice most others that a release is imminent.
First people had the expectation that an Update will come out soon. Then November, then before Christmas. Now we have April and I'd say it feels like the release of the next Update for Corruption 1 is still easily 4-6 months away.
The dev is now doing the right thing, not giving a release date at all and actively shutting people down who suggest that a release is coming soon. People are pissed at the dev but they should be pissed at the people who spread rumours about release dates.

Anyway the biggest applause and appreciation for this game are the countless desperate people who can't wait for an release and get really angry and pissed off because it is taking longer than expected.
What are you talking about?

Well you could have just wrote that you didn't found my joke funny. In the end not everyone is having a sense of humor.

I've got no idea too, I suspect he was just randomly looking for the opportunity to defend the dev.

This game should have been given abandoned tag long ago. IDK why it took so long.
It actually had. Then the developer countered the argument to F95 admin and it was removed.
- Which he could properly do again if he wanted.
Just because a game is abandoned here on F95 does not really mean it is.
In the case of this game, patches are just slow(very slow atm.), lets hope it improves in the future.

Its very clearly abandoned, anyone sad enough to claim otherwise really needs to get their head examined.

The tag works in his favor in a certain way, cause from what i've seen from him, he doesn't like the idea of working with any kind of pressure while he is "developing" the game. So the tag makes it clear to people here to not expect anything from him, which reinforces his wishes as per his subscribestar page description.

That epic moment when the porn game gets 5MB update after 18 months :PogChamp:
He will just try to remove the abandoned tag with one scene then the game will be dead for another year or so before getting abandoned against then the cycle repeats. I'm quite sure this game wont have any proper sex scenes this year (or even next year if he still continues his charade)

And the game could be kept updated on an actual monthly basis, for the next 12 years, only adding two lines of code each month, zero new scenes, and it would be within the forum's guidelines on how to keep a game not marked as Abandoned.

The problem is that the tag is completely against the actual Abandoned rules from this forum...
  • The latest SubscribeStar update from the dev was on late February. That means no prefix for inactivity until late May (3 months)
  • The initial release of v0.1 was on early December 2021. That means no prefix for lack of new code until early May (18 months)
In both cases, the game does not meet the requirements for being marked as abandoned.

This is completely regardless of how any of us in the forum feel about this (or what to believe about the health and state of the game).
We can (please, don't) continue to have stupid FLERF-level arguments on how this game is vaporware, a scam, well developed, coming next month, etc... The facts are that this should not have been tagged as abandoned, at all, because the rules say so.

(kept editing the post because I hated how much of a text dump it looked like)
