Save during scenes/choices in RPG game?

Is there a mod or cheat method to save during a scene or choice in a RPG game? This is why i love Ren'py games over RPG games, Ren'py i can make my own scene gallery with saves, save during any scene or choice to go back to.

Renpy saves aren't 100% reliable at a "choice" better to roll back a step, save, and then make your choice. It all depends on the scripting. A good developer might throw an autosave in before a choice, if so you can reload the autosave and do a save, before the choice.
