I don't even know if Mr Black checks this forum anymore, but I'll give my two cents anyway
While I genuinely want to enjoy Mr Blacks games, my first impression of this title was not that great, to put it simply - the experience was fairly underwhelming. His style has remained more or less unchanged after 2 years of development (.. or however long it has been), which is unfortunate. It's impossible to get tired of the mom model, but sadly just about everything else falls short and is mediocre at best. Some of the UI elements are not that pleasing to the eye, however, credit where credit is due, the chat box UI is a nice touch. But then, the quality of dialogues and internal monologues are as uninteresting as those in Perfect Bond, so it kind of just weakens those plus points right away
Regarding the animations, there's something off about them, I can't put my finger on it; I do appreciate the effort in adding animations, and they do have some potential, but it's like a weird stop-motion clip where they take 20 pictures/renders, slap them together with fade in between each image, turn it into a video file and call it a day. It's not the most elegant solution, but it's not the worst I've seen
