Ren'Py - Scrooby-Goon [v0.0.1] [FRANKTOPIA]

I've never seen a Scooby-Doo game this faithful! Even though it's short (which I get 'cause it's in beta), the game captures the characters' essence way better than Warner's latest adaptations. Plus, the gameplay is perfect for faping. I'm mega hyped to see where this goes!

the game has potential.

fully animated cut scenes with authentic sounding voices, and animated scenes.

you're locked to 5 minutes so that does set you back a bit in terms of how much fun you can have.

however downside. Pretty much most of the content you see is either semi censored behind a paywall, or completely paywalled. so past that point i couldnt properly test this build to fully review it. but the microtransaction of censorship in a sex game has docked some points.

i think if the entire game is just about defusing the bomb within 5 minutes and the game is over. then its three stars. sure the cinematic scenes are super impressive, and so are the voices, although AI?

but theres not much replayability in its current form, and especially if its entire premise requires you to get everything solved within five minutes.

i played for a bit. but ended up turning it off due to the censorship of most of the sex scenes. just wasnt worth my time.

Which sucks, cause i have discovered many games on this site and ended up finanically supporting their developments. but the fact this is clearly in early stages of development with many WIP aspects, and then the SMALL amount of content it does have is majorly paywalled.

you have a vaginal and an oral scene. atleast from what i discovered.

the rest is either semi censored with a flashing icon to their patreon, or just gate keeped behind a paywall altogether.


the dev clearly knows how to develop something of quality. but the way things are paywalled are likely to drive people away from supporting, rather than anything.

i cannot get a full feeling for your game to decide to support, if most the good shit i cannot access.

which unfortunately is anal, which is my main kink. so yeah.

its cool, can tell theres some great quality here.

but as said above, if the entire premise is about defusing a bomb within five minutes and the games over, then its 3 average with limited replayability

if theres more to the surface than the bomb defusal, and i can actually enjoy the game you've made. then i can see myself supporting this when its had more time to cook, and i have more to play with in order to see if its worth my money

It's a short and sweet game. There isn't much content, but it doesn't feel like it needs much more. The stuff that does need to be added is just scenes with all the characters and since I'm writing this review as of v0.0.1, it's understandable that not all of it is there. Although it's questionable if there will be scenes with all the characters since the main character is an ugly guy disguising as Velma so there probably won’t be any actual sex scenes with the male cast.

I love how Velma looks and the scenes with her are incredible.

My biggest gripe with the game is with Daphne where the art style is completely different and, in my opinion, looks awful. I hope this is just stand-in art and she'll be redrawn in the style of Velma.

A smaller downside of the game is the UI which is overlapped with a door (if you are in the hallway) but once you do click on the door you can use the UI normally.
